"The atmosphere was calm and straightforward so ordering food was efficient and complimented by attentive staff who were happy to answer questions since there were so many options. I had selected lamb gyro over rice (seasoned type) in conjunction with noodles and date fruits. In this situation, I had requested all these to be consolidated to one dish. After waiting for way shorter than I had anticipated, the meal was carefully arranged in the carton. The lamb gyro produced a salty/savory flavor as I have encountered with other gyro meats and the rice was different because it acquired a deep orange color and produced a robust turmeric flavor. The noodles were also savory since they were stewed with small meat bits. The date fruits might have been medjoul dates because of their leathery, fibrous texture and mellow sweetness. I would return again because you get so much for a very reasonable price."

"Wed. Is my day for her daddy's lasagna ???? . It's off the charts, not your typical Italian style. However this is a very nice twist. It's a must try. My friend had the salmon ????, and the other plate is pepper fried steak ????. I generally enjoy aoff the beaten path food joint (yes I am a foodie, food conersuer) . People that don't cook for big chain restaurants, seem toshow you, their love of cooking all on your plate. If you've never stopped in ,add it to your list. "We stumbled onto Kismayo Kitchen while visiting Burlington for the weekend. Being Somali ourselves we came in with lower expectations on ?authenticity? but we were happily surprised. We ordered the novelty dish called ?Federation? which is half riceand half spaghetti with choice of protein. For heat lovers like myself ask for the spicy hot sauce (basbaas). The food wasdelicious and the generous portions allowed us to take some for later. The atmosphere is unassuming and mom&pop style. Thewaitstaff and owner were friendly, attentive and patient."

"The place has the appearance of an abandoned laundromat. The food was decent, but it's evident that they aren't making an effort to attract customers outside the East African community. The customer service is lacking, to say the least. It's the epitome of a no-frills, hole-in-the-wall establishment. Give it a shot if you're in the mood for something daring."
