"This was a pre theater dinner and service started out rather slow, which was worrisome (I allowed just over 90 minutes and we made the show but had to skip dessert). The food, though, was very good a recommended beet salad was a great appetizer, since the other salads were too large for one. Old school spaghetti and meatball was tasty the house made pasta was toothsome and carried the tomato sauce (with roasted garlic) well; the meatball was light and flavorful. My partner's sole francese with risotto was also a hit. The restaurant's own beer was a good accompaniment to the meal and sets Birravino apart from the usual Italian eateries."
