"JB's Deli is a cute local staple. They have such a big menu! They have sandwiches, baked goods, deli salads, plus a pharmacy in the back. I got their veggie and cheese sandwich and paid extra for extra cheese and avocado. The sandwich comes with cheese, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and red onion. You can choose a side of pasta salad, baked beans, or chips, and it comes with a pickle. The sandwich was good, a very typical vegetarian sandwich. The best part of the sandwich was the amount of cheese they put on it and the onion bun it came on. The veggie sandwich didn't have any pizzazz though! I've been spoiled with how creative people have gotten with veggie sandwiches micro greens, beets, hummus. I just wanted a little more! Although I wouldn't come back for this sandwich, they still had so many other vegetarian options that I would come back for, such as the pasta salad. The pasta salad had a lot of fresh herbs and was very yummy. They also had breakfast sandwiches, baked goods, baked beans, potato pancakes, blintzs. knishes, bagels, and more. Plenty of options! The inside of the deli is so cute. It seems like a classic old Chicago building with the tile floor, exposed brick wall, and ornate ceiling. There is some outdoor seating along the sidewalk if you have a nice day and want to eat outside. Otherwise they have additional seating behind the cashier. The deli is right off Clark street, so you can usually find parking or take the 22 bus. I would definitely come back here! It would be a great place to grab some food for a picnic by the lake."

"The centerpiece of the meal was undoubtedly the grilled sandwich. From the very first bite, it was clear that the chefs emphasize high-quality ingredients and skillful preparation. The sandwich was a delightful balance of textures and flavors, showcasing a level of culinary expertise that distinguished it from the usual fare. Paired with the sandwich were French fries generously doused in brown gravy—an indulgent treat that enhanced the entire meal. The combination of crisp fries and rich gravy was a pleasant surprise, adding an extra layer of comfort. The attention to detail extended to the drink selection, especially the coffee. For coffee lovers, the brew at Palace Restaurant is a genuine pleasure. It was rich, strong, and skillfully made, perfectly complementing the food. It's evident that the restaurant takes pride in creating a holistic dining experience right down to the last sip. The warmth and attentiveness of the staff also stood out. The friendly atmosphere and my server’s attentive service greatly enhanced the overall enjoyment of the meal. "Best Deli Food. Period.. OK, I am a fan of Art's, have been for years. Art's Deli in Studio City is a 1 hour drive for my friends and I. It is well worth it. We come from different parts of So Cal ... the OC, South LA, Inland Empire, and High Desert to meet at Art's for lunch. We come to enjoy the great food, the family atmosphere, and each others company. Family atmosphere because we are treated like family by Art's family ... and the servers.<br/ <br/ As for the food, I invariably get pastrami on rye, though friends try other items. Being an ex-NY'er, I feel qualified to say that Art's pastrami on rye is the best this side of the Hudson. I don't understand others' complaints that it is a basic sandwich, just meat and bread? That IS what is served in NY deli's, no garnishings taking away from the taste of the meat and bread and deli mustard. That is what makes a delicious NY deli sandwich. If you want lettuce, tomato, cheese, or other ... ask for it. In NY City, those are not part of a pastrami, corned beef, roast beef, or other meat-type deli sandwich. Art's sandwiches are big, piled high with meat ... NY style. If you don't want NY style .. go to The Hat for their tasteless pastrami.<br/ <br/ We make the 1 hour drive because we love the food ... and Art, Mrs Art, Roberta, and Harold. Did I mention that Art's IS true NY kosher Deli style through and through!<br/ <br/ And if you want a true NY treat ... try a Chocolate Egg Cream, a fountain drink made to true NY specifications."
