"We decided to dine in Little Italy on our last night in San Diego and walked five blocks from our hotel to get there. The area was bustling with activity and had a charming atmosphere, with lots of people out and about. There were plenty of restaurants with outdoor seating for people watching. We chose this restaurant based on online reviews and found the service to be attentive and quick. We opted to sit outside at a table to enjoy the alfresco dining experience. Our meal started with bread and marinara sauce for dipping. The bread was crusty and the marinara sauce was very garlicky, which I enjoyed, but it was too overpowering for me to eat. My husband ordered the meatball appetizer as his main dish and I ordered the penne pasta Bolognese. Unfortunately, we found both dishes to be mediocre at best. For an Italian restaurant in Little Italy, we had higher expectations. The appetizer consisted of five small meatballs and the pasta dish was underwhelming. Our meal, along with one soda, cost us $60 with the tip included. While prices in San Diego are generally high, I would consider exploring other dining options if I were to return. Given the cost and quality of the food, I would not dine here again, especially with so many other choices available in the area."
