"we have recently stopped in the new bakery the baking hive in east millcreek. we had such a great time that we had to share the baking hive with them. the owner elisa went to the cooking school in england, but began to bake as a child with her grandmother. elisa’s love to bake in everything at the baking hive. elisa is such a joy to chat with and makes her feel like she has been friends for years. bake hive serves whole cake, cake and pavlowa or they can buy them through the disc. make sure to check their monthly specials as well. we also love their short bread sugar cookies, dirty jonnys and my personal favorites, the caramel jaguar bars! even my small children have thrown them up. one of our favourites about the baking hive (besides the delicious tasty of course) is the kids decoration hive where children get their own baker hat and they get to frost and decorate their own biscuits or cupcake. elisa is so great with children and dedicated this special place in their shop for children. it's so funny, their kids are sure to have a great time while they sit and enjoy a delicious tasty egg. the baking hive also offers adult and child cooking classes. all recipes are from background on and I can not forget to mention that they also host birthday parties! details can be found here.
