"Went to celebrate our anniversary. Food was ok. Server made many mistakes. They didn't have White Zinfandel at all. Wine was $10 a glass for early bird Moscato, way over priced. I ordered Chicken Piccata and was served Chicken Marsala, which I sent back for what I ordered. Was told the substitution was made because they didn't have a early bird Piccata. I told them I wanted Picatta and in 2 minutes I had it on a plate in front of me. Lukewarm not hot, sitting around probably. I was charged full dinner price for an early bird portion size. Very disappointing night. Won't be back. I wonder if the Hilton Head one is so bad now ????"

"I’m going to start this by saying I only leaving rating when a place is horrible or phenomenal. My boyfriend and I went to @marysvine followed by @thestudyatmarysvine just outside of Pittsburgh last night. First, the environment is unique for so many reasons. It doesn’t feel like a chain or that you are simply another number coming through the door. Having such a detailed, rich atmosphere, this place makes you feel special, almost regal. The wine room is beautiful to look at, as are the large windows and church organ. The service is knowledgeable and thorough, looking to make sure you have the best experience possible. The wine list is the largest I’ve seen in the area. Being able to see detailed photos of the seasonal food menu on iPads is wonderful. The food is thoughtful, and frankly, exquisite. The flavor of the pairings still makes my mouth water. Unlike other restaurants, we weren’t rushed, making it feel much more like an experience rather than an exchange. At the end of our meal, we quietly looked at each other and asked each other’s ranking of the evening up to that point. We agreed on 9.25 and couldn’t recall another experience we’ve ranked higher. Following dinner we headed downstairs to @thestudyatmarysvine where the entrance is enough to set the tone for the evening. You enter through a painting into what feels like another time. The smell of leather and cigars fills the air while your eyes look over the detailed couches, walls of books, and humidor. The iPad menu allow you to see the options with a beautiful photo and listed details of each crafted cocktail. You feel both relaxed and rewarded in The Study. As we sat in the leather chairs, we decided the rating jumped to 9.75. Although we feel more people need to know about the experience, we also like that it feels like a well kept secret outside of the city. This place would be perfect for a quality, luxurious birthday, anniversary, or intimate reception. I will absolutely recommend this place to everyone. We will be back. "Very unimpressed. Went there with a table of 9 to celebrate two birthdays. Place was very crowded. Had the bronzino, hubby had the salmon and daughter had swordfish, all very bland. Didn't even bother to take home leftovers. Another two had scallops with risotto and they liked it. Another member had the short ribs which she said was pretty good. "We visited Carino's Italian restaurant recently, which is how we refer to it. After attending a symphony on Sunday afternoon, we decided to stop by for dinner. Although Carino's is a national chain, we had never eaten there before. We'd heard good things, so we thought we’d give it a try—and we're glad we did! For appetizers, we ordered the Sicilian Fire Sticks, and they were fantastic! According to the menu, they are made with tomato basil tortillas filled with Italian sausage, chicken, bacon, Roma tomatoes, jalapeños, and Italian cheese, served with a spicy marinara and ranch dressing. My partner opted for the Shredded Beef Pappardelle. The menu describes it as large Northern-style egg pasta topped with roast beef, marinated onions, carrots, and a burgundy tomato sauce. He said the burgundy cream sauce really set the roast beef apart from other dishes he'd had. I chose the Spicy Romano Chicken, which features bowtie pasta, cayenne pepper, a Romano cream sauce, mushrooms, artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes, and green onions. It was a bit too spicy for my taste, but not overwhelmingly so. Reducing the cayenne pepper would make it perfect for me, as I really enjoyed the pasta. We decided not to drink alcohol that night, so we picked some Italian sodas instead. The menu boasts an original alcohol-free recipe, available with or without cream, in flavors like raspberry, blackberry, lemon, orange, cherry, and vanilla (with unlimited refills!). My partner had the raspberry soda, while I chose the cherry. We might have looked a bit silly with our fruity drinks, but they were delicious! Despite the restaurant being crowded, the service was good. Our waiter was attentive and did his best to keep us satisfied, although it was clear he had a lot of tables to manage. We made sure to tip him extra for his effort. The atmosphere was quite nice, like most national chains. The decor was pleasant and contributed to a welcoming experience. The prices were reasonable—not cheap, but fair for the quality of food and overall experience. It’s a great option for anyone on a university budget who wants to impress a date. Carino's has earned a spot on our list of favorite restaurants. We’re definitely glad we tried it!"

"The food at this restaurant was average at best, the service was very poor, and the atmosphere was unbearable with screaming toddlers running around. The staff seemed poorly trained and unable to handle basic tasks such as separate checks. I have never experienced such incompetence at a diner before. "Conflicted. That's how feel about leaving this review. Johnny Carino's has been a long-time favorite of mine and was sad when the one in Fort Worth permanently closed. Heading to Waxahachie for my son's baseball game, on Valentine's Day, we see a Carino's and were thrilled! We knew we'd be eating there after his game was over. I am incredibly sad to leave this review...the restaurant atmosphere was not at all what Carino's is about, it was unwelcoming dirty. The wait to be seated was less than an hour which we were pleasantly surprised seeing that it was V-Day, but the wait to get our dinner was another hour...still no problem, we expected that. The waitress was a dingbat, kept forgetting to bring us simple things like silverware, drinks, straw, etc. We could see the cooking station and there was only 1 chef handling ALL these orders AND carryout orders..poor guy! That's why I didn't complain about my meal, I wanted to give him grace...he was running around busy. He's the only reason I gave this place 2 stars. But in all honesty, my plate (Spicy Ramano) was COLD, not lukewarm but cold. It's a shame because the flavor itself was good. My husband son's plates were nice and hot (Skilletini) but the flavor was not great. I saw one waitress spill a drink all over the cooking/pasta area and left it! I don't know, the whole place felt gross, the bathroom was dirty, table were not wiped, napkins and used silverware under tables. Like I said before, I'm sad to leave this review."

"The website has a link to reservations, which takes you to a Yelp call ahead option. I called the restaurant and easily made a reservation for two.On arrival, I asked for a table with a good view and they happily obliged by seating us in what they called an indoor patio. Think three season porch with glass windows and permanently installed electric heaters. It was about 50 out but we were comfortable.Excellent service. Wine flight (pictured) was fun and a good value at $12. We also ordered French onion soup, pecan crusted chicken breast, and salmon. All perfectly prepared.Total bill for two with a generous tip was about $90.We will be back."

"This restaurant used to offer a great culinary experience in the past, but after a few changes in ownership, it seems to have lost its touch. The atmosphere still holds the local history, and the service was adequate with most recommendations being spot on. The dinners and drinks offered a good variety to cater to all tastes, and their in-house special dessert was a delightful way to end the meal. However, the main courses were somewhat disappointing considering the high prices. While we understand that food costs have increased, it's unfortunate to say that our homemade meals from HelloFresh were better than what we were served. It's disappointing to see that the restaurant has declined from its previous excellence."

"The food was good, the service excellent, the lunch noise acceptable. The only reason the only reasons I didn't give 5 stars is that we were seated at a 2 person table against the north wall right in the traffic pattern and the aisle is just too tight. People were constantly brushing up against my companion. Also, although the server was kind enough to offer a birthday dessert when he found out we were celebrating same, the bread pudding was way over-cooked and we could only eat the center."

"My friend group came into this place, and sadly, it was not very great. No utensils given, we waited for a good while, and didn’t even have drinks. It wasn’t until Justin came and saved the day. "We have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while so tonight we did for a early birthday dinner on a Tuesday evening it wasn't busy so we figured we would get fast service but that was not the case we arrived at 6:20pm we didn't leave until 8:25 not because we wanted to but because our waiter took so long bringing our drinks then appetizers then our main courses the food and drinks were good but not for the price, too much ice in the drinks I figured to make it look like your getting more drink than you really are and their bread pudding was awful that was not bread pudding it was a chocolate cinnamon mush with caramel don't think it was worth 250 for 3 people. We don't mind paying for great food drinks but there needs to be great service as well. So disappointed with this restaurant I really wanted to like it because it is so close to home."

"I had a wonderful evening out with my family. The staff was considerate and ensured we felt safe in their space. The food offered a unique Italian-Mexican fusion that was enjoyable overall. They started us off with fresh bread accompanied by a delightful olive oil dip. The drinks were generous in size, and the salads arrived promptly, with everyone pleased with their choices. My wife and mother-in-law cannot have gluten, but fortunately, they provided a gluten-free pasta option. The main courses were delicious all around, and we even finished our meal with a gluten-free Chocolate Lava Cake, which was a real treat. The only downside was feeling too full, but that just speaks to how great the food was. All in all, it was a fantastic afternoon."

"Now, let's talk about the food – it was outstanding! We kicked things off with a basket of fresh bread paired with a plate of seasoned olive oil for dipping, which was absolutely delicious. For our appetizer, we opted for the Italian nachos, which were loaded with an incredible mix of meats, cheeses, tomatoes, and more – simply fantastic! For the main course, the 5-meat Tuscan pasta was exceptional. It featured bowtie pasta perfectly sautéed with fresh vegetables, lightly sauced, and filled with four kinds of meat along with a hearty meat sauce; it was truly delightful. I've never been particularly wowed by Italian restaurants in the past, but this experience has definitely changed my perspective. I can see us coming back for lunch soon. My husband ordered iced tea, which tasted freshly brewed, while I enjoyed water with lemon. They have a great selection of non-alcoholic beverages, as well as wines and spirits. "When the kids were younger {about 10 years ago) we came here frequently but eventually we just stopped going here. We revisited today and have concluded it's the food, I haven't been in the kitchen but it doesn't taste fresh, more akin to Italian left-overs, or frozen pasta dinners. Price often dictates the quality of the food, but not in this case, the cost here is slightly more than the typical Italian chain restaurants, but food is more on par with the typical discount roadside dinners. Service and atmosphere have always been good, but the foods flavor and texture could use a significant improvement. I'm afraid this place has lost much of it's popularity due to it food. If they were to improve the food this place would definitely see an improvement in increased traffic."
