"The food and service were excellent except for the young female hostess. We came from out of town and made a reservation several days beforehand. When we requested a table by the window, the hostess said “those were for people with reservations.” I explained we had reservations. She said those were taken. (When we left the restaurant, there were still several window seats available. She came off as haughty and condescending and made us feel unwelcome. The couple next to us left without dining because they too were refused a window seat. We almost left too! She was extremely arrogant. But we were hungry and our server was lovely! The food was delicious and we ended up enjoying the meal. However, the rude young female hostess is really off-putting and condescending. We almost left too. She needs a major attitude adjustment."

"I returned for a second night and once again, the food was outstanding. This time, the entree portions were larger, which was a pleasant surprise. If you're visiting Edisto Beach, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The quality of the food here is exceptional. The fried green tomatoes served over grits were among the best appetizers I've ever had, and there's easily enough to share between two people. I did find the portion size of the main course to be a bit smaller than expected, but overall, I left feeling satisfied."
