"We had a reservation for six people at 6 PM and arrived 15 minutes early. Upon arrival, we were informed that only outdoor seating was available, which was not ideal given the chilly 50-degree weather, so we opted to wait for an indoor table. After 45 minutes without a message about our table, I decided to check in at the front, and we were promptly seated inside. I attribute this delay to the inexperience of the young staff. However, once we were seated, our waiter Tien truly made a difference. He provided attentive and exemplary service that redeemed the experience for us. The food was also very good, elevating the restaurant's reputation to a place we would consider visiting again. We highly recommend it for a family-friendly outing."

"I came here last minute because I had previous plans with someone who flaked on me. When I arrived, the staff was very courteous and friendly. And help me with food recommendations since all I knew was, I wanted spaghetti and maybe some meatballs. I ended up with the seafood linguini and calamari for appetizers. The staff help me recommend a good glass of wine with my meal and everything and I do mean. Everything was fantastic!! The linguini sauce exploded with flavor including lemon, garlic and herbs as did the calamari. On top of that, the staff was great!!! They helped me pick out a wine and all took time to check in on me while I was eating and made sure I did not want for anything. I topped it all off with tiramisu and an espresso. Such a great experience identity will go there again. This place is like a hidden gem off of the main monterey street strip. Great for date night or just any occasion really."

"We had a terrible experience at this restaurant due to the presence of gnats and flies both inside and outside. After being unable to tolerate the gnats any longer, we moved to a table in an alcove that felt like it was 200 degrees, situated right next to the open kitchen with a fire oven. It seemed the air conditioning was not working, especially with the outside temperature reaching 100 degrees. Additionally, we noticed that no one else was seated on that side, which made us suspect they were aware of the discomfort and were trying to avoid seating customers there. The food was also not very good, and the gnats kept invading our space, making it impossible to enjoy our drinks. Overall, it was a terrible culinary experience, and we do not recommend this restaurant."

"The service was top notch, our server Phillip was very well versed in the menu, he knew the daily specials like he created them himself. He’s my favorite server there, always polite and makes the overall experience better than it could be. The food was excellent as always. We are very lucky to have such a great restaurant in this small town. I’ve travelled to many places and never received the service and quality of food that is put out at this place. "Revised to add: the restaurant owner reached out to me and apologized and sent me a gift card to more than cover the cost of my meal that he said should have been comped in the first place. I will try them again since I’ve been here in the past and haven’t had this type of service before. I was very disappointed with our latest experience at this restaurant. I found a hair in my food and the waitress just took my plate and went have another made for me. She did apologize but that's all that was offered to make it right. I wasn't offered any kind of discount on my meal or any compensation for my inconvenience. Then, after having to wait for my food to be remade the waitress came to the table and asked about dessert while I was just starting on my meal. I asked to wait until I finished my meal and she said she couldn't because we had the table for too long and there was another reservation coming in behind us even though the room we were in was almost empty except for one other table who had arrived not long after us and wasn't trying to be rushed out of the restaurant. We were charged down the the parmesan cheese we sprinkled on our bread and food and I couldn't even be given time to eat the food that had to be remade because of their mistake of getting HAIR in it. Absolutely disgusted and will not be bringing my employees there for our Christmas dinner next year or any other occasions."

"Always very tasteful, authentic Italian. The staff is very attentive, but not overbearing. The owner is incredibly friendly and will always check to make sure you had a good time. Definitely a higher class restaurant for Houma, and I recommend everybody try it. It can be pricey, so we usually save it for a special occasion. You get what you pay for!"
