"I wish I can give it zero stars and it was so bad I had to right a review , I usually order from the sushi spot sakura tokyo on Nostrand and pacific but this 1 on sterling was new and I wanted to try It , plus they replaced the old sushi spot here on Sterling which was way better , the food here was so bad I don't even eat it and it was expensive , 17$ for chicken teriyaki and 15$ for the Jason special roll I got , the chicken tasted like it was microwaved ,it was rubbery , the sauce was bad ,didn't taste like Japanese teriyaki sauce , and the rice was small container , the sushi was horrible , the sushi looked like it was rolled by the instant sushi roller supermarkets use and not by hand because all the pieces were the same size and too much rice in the sushi roll , the fish on the sushi roll was trash ,didn't taste fresh ,only thing saving the roll was the sauce , I paid 34$ for chicken teriyaki and Jason special roll , I said to myself it better be good for being that expensive , and food taste like microwave food ,I'll never order again , it's that bad that I had to write a review and I don't write reviews unless I felt like I've been wrong'd and I have because I paid $34 for a meal , $3 tip to delivery man and it was garbage , the old Japanese spot this replaced was way better , this food may look good but chicken was rubbery and tough to chew ,the white rice container was small ,and that chicken teriyaki order was 17$ smh , sushi roll taste worse than supermarket sushi , way worse , u can tell it wasn't rolled by hand and rolled with sushi roller , u can youtube what a sushi roller is"

"In response to your reply, the waitress never checked on us. She dropped off our food and the check so quickly that we didn’t have a chance to ask for anything, even though we needed it, and then she just walked off. Her attitude got so bad that I asked to speak with a manager or someone responsible. A young man who looked like a teenager came to our table. We tried to talk to him, but the waitress came over and started raising her voice at us. She even called me and my mom "Karen" for trying to address the situation! At that point, I felt like I was just reflecting the negative energy she brought to the table. We weren't the only table getting poor service; there were others who didn't have drinks or were being checked on either. I did notice she was nice to a select few customers, so maybe she was just overwhelmed. The waitress bluntly told us that we were never her tables to begin with. I said that if that were the case, she shouldn’t have come to us at all. I’ve been a waitress myself, and I’ve managed a full section by myself without having an attitude like that. Maybe she was having a bad day, but that’s no excuse to take it out on others. I was having a great day until I walked in and encountered her poor attitude. So no, I’m not being a "Karen." I’m simply responding to the negative energy you brought to me. It’s disappointing that when we asked to speak with someone, a young kid came over who seemed to not care about our concerns at all. This shows me that this restaurant doesn’t value how their staff treats customers, whether it’s good service or bad. Nothing will be done about it, so I’m giving this place a zero. I wouldn’t recommend anyone come here again!"

"For starters i always order takeout from here every single week. A few weeks ago while ordering takeout the woman on the phone told me that they have a special of 2 sushi rolls with soup and salad for $14 . She asked if i would like to order their special and i said ofcourse. I have ordered from that special takeout for the past 3 weeks straight. I called today to order my usual spicy tuna rolls and the woman on the phone sounded different and gave me an attitude. So i asked her a rhetorical question about the special if it came with soup and salad . Knowing that it does but i wanted to make sure she knew that . She immediately gets aggressive and says that the special is ONLY for dine in. I asked to speak to her manager because she was just being rude , and i hoped i would speak to a professional manager. And he was far from that. I explained this all to him and he just kept saying that he doesn’t believe me that that he doesn’t think that i ordered the special out before. He was also giving me an attitude like the other employee. I am disappointed in the staff today. That manager does not respect customers and i have no reason to lie. I also found the receipt as well so maybe he can believe it now. I work in the restaurant industry, i always tip on my takeout orders and i always tip their servers at least 25%. I treat them all with respect as i do to everyone and am appalled at the service . Also, I am not writing the review because i did not get the special, i am writing it because they should not speak to anyone like this."
