"Excellent Indian restaurant. Cloth napkins and tablecloths. Wonderful, but not hovering service. Quiet and relaxing environment. We mentioned we were relatively new to Indian cuisine--my date likes mild, I like spicy. They were very helpful in describing and recommending dishes that accommodated both our tastes preferences. Good value, too. Relatively inexpensive plus we both walked out with dogie bags.. It's a bit difficult to find--tucked away in one of the endless Army Trail Rd. strip malls--but well worth searching it out. We will definitely be going back."

"This was our first visit to NanKing and we plan to return! We were greeted promptly and seated right away. We were there for the vegan buffet and were not disappointed. A gentleman showed us the appetizer tables and explained how to assemble the little puffs I don’t remember what they are called, but they were delicious! We sampled nearly every item from the buffet and enjoyed seconds, and some thirds, of our favorites. The server was pleasant and attentive. A great dinner!! (Our only non positive comment is related to the uncomfortably chilly seat in a corner booth. Thankfully the food was warm."

"I used to order from here quite frequently and enjoy the food. However, I?ve had major issues with the delivery service (delays). The last time I ordered through the website, the food never came and I was not refunded. I called several times andwas told different things?that the system was down, that they were going to send the food, etc. Ultimately, the food neverarrived and I was told I would get refunded the $90 I spent. I?ve followed up a few times and still have not been refunded.After seeing the reviews about the cc tips, this sort of seems in line with the management. I would not recommend orderingdelivery."

"This food has always been delicious and consistent. I've been a fan since around 2008 or so. Not sure what other people are complaining about. I visited TajM before, during and after the covid lockdowns. the establishment stayed open and available even without the buffet probably required by health department. Eating off the buffet or off the menu TajM never disappoints. They are so good and so awesome to adjust their spicey food for even some of the schools to offer food to young kids (montessouri). today I stopped in and ate from the buffet.. fantastic food and service.. a familiar face, the lovely older gentleman was so gracious and kind. Best food, not just indian food, in pittsburgh. veg khorma, chicken tikka masala, and tandori chix are some of my favorites.. and the rice pudding and sweet honey balls for desert are always excellent."

"If I had to rate Navaratna solely on their food, five stars wouldn't be enough! The flavors at this vegetarian Indian restaurant are outstanding and if we lived closer, we would probably dine here a few times a week. The only downside is the service. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but things can be a bit slow, especially if you order a Mint Cooler. I don't know what's in it, but in my opinion, it's worth the 20-minute wait. If you don't mind a slower pace and enjoy authentic Indian cuisine, Navaratna will quickly become your go-to spot!"

"Sanjeev Kapoor, an iconic chef in India, was a favorite of mine growing up as I watched his show on Sundays. Naturally, I had to try the food at his restaurant. My experience dining here on a weekday dinner was lovely. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, with a separate bar and dining area. Our waiter guided us through the popular items on the menu and we loved all of his suggestions! The manchow soup was soothing on a winter evening and the chicken tikka was soft and delicious. However, the hara paneer tikka didn't quite meet our expectations. A standout dish was the plum kofta curry with its creamy gravy and mouthwatering koftas. The kulfi for dessert was superb, although the gulabjamun was too sweet for my liking. While the restaurant may be on the pricier side for Indian food, the quality and fine dining experience make it worth it."

"Amazing Indian cuisine bursting with spices and flavor. The kitchen is quite busy, so be prepared for some delays in receiving your food. The restaurant itself is spacious and offers a relaxing atmosphere. I had to deduct a star because, while the staff is friendly, the service can be quite slow. Be sure to order everything you need at the beginning, or you might find yourself waiting a long time for assistance. The Mango Lassi is sweet and delicious, but if you're considering Indian coffee and tea, I find them a bit lacking for my taste. If you're in the mood for a drink, I highly recommend trying an Indian beer; my personal favorite is Kingfisher."

"Anniversary dinner with our two children, 8 and 10. We decided to sit out on the porch on a fairly humid June evening and the ceiling fans made for a nice breeze. We find most of the restaurants are overly air-conditioned, but Metro 8 didn't seem like a fridge even when we came in - that's a big plus for me! Our waitress was very nice and attentive without interfering. She noted that it was nice to see kids with books (and math in our conversation) instead of iPads. The steaks my husband and I ordered were as stated and delicious. So were the pages. Our girls loved their grilled chicken. Cocktails were good and just the right strength. Highly recommended."

"This was not my first visit to Monsoon. On this visit I was seated promptly and had a good waiter. The food is excellent and the menu is broad. Portions are large. My friends from India give it high marks, as do I. While the service on this visit was excellent, on previous visits it has been quite poor. I don't know if the change was because I was an OpenTable reservation (which the waiter asked about) or because they have some new staff. My overall rating of 3 stars reflects some of the previous poor service experience. They have outside seating but it wasn't open."

"The family owned Indian restaurant is a 10/10 for my parents and me. The delicious food, serene atmosphere, and attentive service have made this our go to spot for authentic cuisine. Though it was our first visit, we managed to photograph several standout dishes, including the flavorful Tandoori Chicken, which was my favorite. As an eggplant enthusiast, I also thoroughly enjoyed their equally delicious Bainghan Bharta. Additionally, we highly recommend the Goat Curry and Chicken Tikka Masala both were exceptional. "Food was delicious, the real deal. Service on the other hand was pretty poor. We waited 20 minutes after we were seated at 7:30 for a waiter to come by. When our food (mains) arrived at 9:00 several items were missing and came after we had basically had our meal. The waiter offered no explanation or apology which would have been nice. When I asked later what had happened he just said “it failed to print”. If you want some unique and authentic Indian food…go…but don’t expect much on the service end."

"I recently dined at a large Indian restaurant located at the intersection of RT 16 and RT 28 in Medford. Upon entering, I noticed a fixed-price lunch buffet available at a very reasonable price, and based on the meal I had, I’m eager to try it. I started with a mango lassi, which was creamy, refreshing, and better than what I’ve had at other places. For my main course, I enjoyed a fantastic biryani rice dish that included chicken, shrimp, and mutton. The bread basket featured a variety of naans that were delightful—hot and freshly baked. My wife ordered chicken tikka masala, which was lovely, and our chicken tikka appetizer arrived sizzling on a hot plate adorned with onions; it was excellent as well. The service was efficient and attentive, and the food was served hot. I have no complaints!"
