"This restaurant makes me feel like I'm back home in NYC back in the day when Italian food was Italian and not American Italian. Need I say more. Oh, and the bread is brought in from NY and is like Mamma used to make. One note of interest. We have a home in Portugal and eat octopus (polvo) regularly when in Portugal. Here, we have yet to find anyone who knows how to cook it like the Portuguese...until now. Tender, not rubbery and tough, grilled to perfection and the veal chop was stunning. Normally I would keep this secret to myself but please come, enjoy so they stay open. Ask for Vito or Juan and tell them Billy sent you (the guy who loves Ciopino). I won't get a kickback but the pleasure of them knowing how much we enjoy their food and service."

"Cannot wait to come back here to my old familiar place,wonderful family owned restaurant with a big but simple menu for a reasonable price,veal bolognese is my go to dish,as well as the Philly cheese steak,the chicken parm alla vodka is amazing as well as the different seafood options,great Sicilian pizza,oh and how could I forget about the wings,try it out,the people are welcoming and its just a nice atmosphere in a good NYC neighborhood."

"Their taco salad is really good. I’ve only had it once I’ve visited twice to get it again and unfortunately they don’t sell it anymore. It is still on there menus online so make sure you call before going. Also very expensive but worth it the chef is amazing."

"My family celebrated Thanksgiving dinner on November 25 at II Giardino, and it was outstanding! The menu featured a wide variety of options, and if you chose turkey, you could select all white meat, a mix of white and dark meat, or just dark meat, along with sweet and mashed potatoes and all the trimmings. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was exceptional; we were able to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace without feeling rushed. With all the talk about slow restaurant service, this was certainly not the case here. The staff was very attentive. We will definitely return and recommend it to our friends. It's a fantastic restaurant, deserving of a solid 10!"

"First, they tried to jam us in a corner table that I couldn’t fit into and I’m not large by any means . when I asked the hostess to move us she was really rude about it. The tortellini tasted like a block of salt with cream sauce poured over it. And how in the world do you screw up calamari? worst calamari I’ve ever had, over cooked. They said they had a full bar. They had only cheap brands of tequila and three cheap brands of whiskey no thanks."

"The customer service at this location was awesome!!!!!! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was AMAZING!!!!!! I have to go back there!!! The only thing that was a bit uncomfortable was that the doors were left open at the restaurant and outside was cold so I was cold inside the restaurant and I wish I was warm and comfortable instead. A comfortable temperature plays a big factor for me; I hate being cold and so does my friend that was with me. Apart from that, everything else was awesome!!!!! I still plan to return to dine there again!"

"Beautiful night out for a NYE dinner here. Reserved in advance for a party of 6 and still had to wait about 30 minutes once we arrived, but no biggie. We were not in a hurry. Service was fantastic as was the food. Our entire party loved their food and appetizers. Loved the fresh warm bread during dinner. Very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended. Enjoy!!!"

"I made a reservation for 7:30. It was my son's birthday. We also stayed at the River Crab Hotel. We sat at 7:45 am. At 8:05 a.m. nobody had come to our table. Had to ask for water and 8:15 a boy brought us water and said he would send a waitress. 8:30 no waitress got up and told the hostess to please send a waitress. 8:40 no one yet. Each waitress distributed the table like we weren't even there. I was so upset we got up and left the restaurant and went somewhere else. There were four of us and my son's birthday was totally ruined !!!!! I have never treated this badly in a restaurant in my life. I will be sure to tell my friends about the terrible service we received. NO apologies for this kind of service !!!!!!!!!"

"Wow! A few years ago, we visited Frank Pepe's in New Haven and had what we considered the best pizza ever. About a year later, a CBS Reviewer survey ranked the top pizza in the country, but after that, we discovered Arturos in Maplewood, and we haven't looked back since. Every single time we go there, it's an incredible experience. They make some of the best pizza for miles around, and it could very well be the best in the country (perhaps even the world!). The staff is attentive and exceptional. If you haven't been yet, you're truly missing out!"

"Went for our anniversary, unfortunately, ended up very disappointed. The host sat us right next to the only other two diners in the restaurant. Which I found odd. We are foodies so the idea is that it is cooked right there from scratch sounded wonderful. It turned out the food was bland, my stuffed mushrooms were in a sea of liquid topped with mushy crab filling. The entrees did not improve, and had the same issues . Watery sauce, lack of seasoning and poor texture. Garnish was a kale leaf with an old radish (very cafeteria feeling). Vegetable uncooked, bland. Glad we ordered a bottle of wine, as that was fantastic."
