"This restaurant is a complete mess. Some of the staff are related, which leads to constant drama in front of customers. They often get orders wrong, and sometimes the food is even undercooked. One particular employee acts as if she owns the place and frequently shouts at her coworkers in front of patrons, which is extremely unprofessional. It seems that the owner actually appreciates this kind of chaos. I've decided not to return, and I plan to share my experience with others. Also, steer clear of the classic chicken sandwich meal—it's sized for a child but priced for an adult, and it tastes like a frozen chicken patty. Definitely not worth it."

"We attended a large holiday sale at a kindergarten, and my daughter discovered this restaurant online. Since the four of us are from different areas, we enjoy trying local eateries when we get together. I was unaware that we were heading to a senior-friendly establishment. The atmosphere was clean and well-organized, and the menu offered a good variety at reasonable prices. Each of us ordered something different, and while the food was good, it wasn't exceptional. I particularly enjoyed the raspberry tea. However, the main issue was the service. It wasn’t a large place, yet there were only two waitresses, and we hardly saw ours. After delivering our meals, she didn’t return until we had to signal her for a takeout box. Our drinks also needed refills, but we struggled to get her attention. When I approached a different waitress to pay, she bumped into me without even apologizing. Thankfully, I was with good company, but I wouldn’t recommend this place based on our experience."

"When Fork Finger was at their previous location, I ordered lunch there quite often. This is the first time I've ordered from them in quite a few years. I liked the club sandwich purchased it a few times a week. This club sandwich tasted bad. The bread had an odd taste. I threw it away. The open faced roast beef tasted bad too. The meat bread was ok. The gravy mashed potatoes were terrible. I put a lot of pepper on it to try to make it better. It didn't help at all. The pineapple upside down cake was tasty. The food was a big disappointment."

"I visited this restaurant for brunch with a friend, and we tried the dish of the day: cod fish accompanied by homemade fries, along with a delightful Philly cheesesteak. The hostess was exceptionally friendly, and the service was top-notch. The ambiance was great, and the venue itself is beautiful! The food was delicious, expertly prepared, and bursting with flavor. We shared our dishes and left very satisfied. I will definitely be returning for the cake!"

"Giving a 5-star review of any place usually meets with skepticism. How can a restaurant be perfect? Can a local dive bar be as good or better than a Michelin rated restaurant? For one, any review you find on the Googles or the Yelps are customer/user submitted. Rarely will you find a professional food review, whatever that might be worth. But for Manning 's and my recent visit, here 's how it played out. Manning 's is an established Como neighborhood bar and restaurant. It might even fit within the narrow definition of a dive bar given its location next to the train tracks, minimal windows in the dining area, and the kitchen smell that wafts through the place. But I visit this place exactly for that experience and it is top in its class for atmosphere. Sports games on the TVs, vinyl padded booths with worn Formica tables. Perfect. The food? I have been to Manning 's maybe 20 times in the past 10 years so I don 't consider myself a regular. And I go there for burgers. It is the burgers I enjoy the most but they have so much more. The burger is a hand formed third pounder with a nice buttery bun. The crinkle cut fries are crispy and they leave off the salt, letting me decide how much, if any, salt I want. And it is a big serving, more than I should eat but I push through. And the best part? Tuesdays you get a cheeseburger and fries (or tater tots) for $10. Tap beer $4. All served by some of the nicest neighbors and friends (some may refer to them as staff) one would find working at the neighborhood bar and restaurant on the corner street by the railroad bridge."

"My husband and I ate here for breakfast one morning. He had the biscuits and gravy. He said it was okay but didn't taste like what he expected it to taste like. I had pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Mine was very good. I wish they had music playing, I could hear a radio in the waiter area but I i could barely hear it. It would've made the atmosphere better for me with a little background music. My husband said the coffee was very good. We would return."

"I went in and seen cooks with no gloves on scratching their head and face, hands in pockets then straight to touching and rolling pizza dough. I told my self I wouldn’t go back after todays order. I get home and my pizza crust is literally BURNT. I call back and they offer my to get a refund or get it remade. My kids are hungry and now we have to wait 45 additional minutes to get another pizza because it’s nearby and I’m in a time crunch. NEVER GOING BACK."

"I reached out to Nelson's Cheese Deli in St. Paul to inquire about catering options while I was exploring different caterers. My only point of contact was Wayne, and after my initial email, I didn’t follow up at all. To my surprise, two days later, Wayne arrived with an order I hadn't placed. I was taken aback that he had processed an order without my approval and showed up at the address in my email signature. When I told him I wouldn’t be accepting the order, his response was quite disrespectful. I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior from a restaurant before. Asking about catering services is not equivalent to placing an order, and arriving unexpectedly at someone’s workplace is both unsettling and inappropriate. This bizarre and uncomfortable experience has led me to decide against using Nelson's Cheese Deli for any catering needs. Wayne's strange behavior and lack of professionalism have completely dissuaded me from considering them for future services."

"The food took a bit longer to prepare, but given how busy they were, it was understandable. The staff was fantastic—always cheerful and accommodating. The catfish and shrimp plates were delicious, prepared with fresh oil and flour that really enhanced the flavor. The tartar sauce was homemade and to die for, and I added some fresh, tasty lemons myself. The potato salad was outstanding—served cold to room temperature—and the French fries were enjoyable as well, made with fresh ingredients that tasted great. Everything was simply delicious. I also appreciated that you pay your bill at the counter before leaving. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained. Overall, I had a wonderful meal and a great time with my family, and our waitress Amanda was absolutely delightful!"

"This place is fantastic, especially on Sundays! We couldn't believe that it costs only $8.95 for a full salad, entrees, and dessert. Everything is homemade. They offer a delicious variety including butter beans, pepper steak, chicken and dumplings, sweet potato casserole, pizza, gumbo, jam, green beans, fried chicken, fish, baked chicken, cornbread, and so much more. I don't think anyone could complain about such a great selection at such an affordable price! The only downside is that I wish they were open in the evening!"
