"Over the past couple of years, I've been exploring various pizza spots on Staten Island and have sampled at least two dozen since the lockdown. One hidden gem I discovered is Tony's Original Pizza, a charming little shop in Tompkinsville that I stumbled upon while driving home from work. I didn't have high expectations since it’s tucked away behind Victory Boulevard, but I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza is outstanding. I ordered a half mushroom, half cheese pie, and even after a 30-minute drive, it arrived still moist with an amazing crust. Remarkably, the crust retained its moisture and crispness even after reheating in the microwave. The sauce, cheese, and toppings are all incredibly fresh and far from stale. This place is truly exceptional, and I highly recommend it!"

"I see a lot of bad reviews for this place complaining about the price, but nobody is noting that this pizza is not sweet. A lot of pizza places with cheap pizza have been stretching their ingredients with high fructose corn syrup and the result is a SWEET pizza instead of savory. I won 't name other restaurants that do this, but it 's a trend now. This place does NOT, the pizza is savory as it should be, the crust is thick and firm, a solid NYC slice of regular. I went during an off-hour so it was near empty but the service was spectacular. Yes, a slice is $3 and a pie is $20, but at least they make ACTUAL pizza."

"Went there Friday 12/30 with a party of seven. Three of the beers we ordered were out of stock. Ordered the reuben rolls for app, out of stock. I ended up ordering their steak and cheese sandwich. When it finally arrived I opened it up to discover some steak placed around the edges to make it look full. See pic. Maybe they assumed I would be too drunk to notice. The manager said they ran out of steak. I would say, then don’t send the dish out! Gave me couple drink vouchers, that I’ll never use, and said he would take the dish off the bill. When the bill came the steak and cheese was in the bill. A different waitress claimed it was a “mistake”. The reason I give it two stars is because our waitress was pleasant. Otherwise, I would give it no stars."

"On my second visit, I tried the spinach burek, which was an improvement over the pizza but still not great. To make matters worse, while I was paying, I spotted a cockroach lounging on the wall—it was about 1.5 inches long, not including its antennae. The service was prompt but somewhat brusque. The prices were reasonable, but I can’t overlook the lack of cleanliness and the overall atmosphere, which I would rate as zero stars. Given the disappointment with the food, I've since discovered better pizza options nearby and won't be returning."

"Fabulous spot for FABULOUS Pizza!! Yeah, NOT yer everyday Pizza... this stuff is PIZZA on Steroids!!! When we went on Saturday around the service attention was slow to begin, but the hostessManager then came and took our orders, and we were off to the races. The owner then stopped by the table and chatted for a spell. Marvelous chap!! Our ‘server’ was basically unpresent, but when the Owner and hostessmanager make sure your happy, we’ll yeah, ALL was great!I had the ‘Hot Italian’ pizza, something that totally aroused my tastebuds. Holy Glory of delectable flavors! And my wife had the Margarita Pizza and was equally pleased!Mootz is da Bomb!!!"

"I found the Tallarin Verde with Grilled Chicken to be underwhelming; it lacked enough sauce and the chicken portion was small, making the pasta quite dry. However, the 1/2 Chicken with Mashed Potatoes was fantastic. I would certainly think about ordering from this restaurant again."

"I ordered tonight and they forgot to add the ranch (which is a must and better than any homemade you’ve had) to the order. No big deal and I live close by, so I drove to the store to get it and forgot my receipt. I asked for the ranch and without question, one of the employees grabbed it for me but not before he tried to juggle them which was amazing (one ranch was harmed in this show). He then tried to prove his skill again and it went just about as well, but was genuinely hilarious and made my night. This is the best pizza and wing place in town (with all other food here being incredible). It’s nice to see people having fun and enjoying their work. 10/10 as always."
