"The onion rings were passable—just okay, nothing special. To make matters worse, there was an infuriating "HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT TO TIP?" checkout screen when I went to pick up my food. Maybe that's why my sandwiches were so disappointing? I only tip well for waitstaff, drivers, etc., and I didn’t tip this time.
On the positive side, the restaurant was nice and clean, located in a pleasant area, and the employees seemed friendly, aside from making a disappointing sandwich—perhaps because I didn’t tip for pickup? I’m giving it 2 stars for that. But overall, the food, price, and the pressure to tip for pickup are not worth it. I expect much more from the highly-rated food in San Dimas. I'm now 0-2 with local recommendations and have lost trust in reviews. Time to head to Giovanni's in Fullerton; at least I know that place is excellent."
