"A little backstory: When I moved to Fort Smith about six years ago, I struggled to find a good lunch spot other than my own kitchen. A friend suggested a particular restaurant (NOT PHO HOANG) that specialized in home cooking. However, I wasn’t impressed with the food, as everything seemed to be smothered in gravy. Looking across the street, I spotted Pho Hoang and thought to myself, "What am I doing here?" The very next day, I decided to try Pho Hoang, and I was certainly not disappointed. Everything they serve is exceptional. Their egg rolls are out of this world, the meat is perfectly sliced and cooked, and the broths are fantastic, especially in the winter. The owner is often there, managing the counter, serving drinks, or even just relaxing in the back while watching TV. It’s hard to believe that the restaurant was struggling to attract customers when I first discovered it years ago, but now it’s always bustling with guests whenever I visit. I no longer live in Fort Smith, but my mother does, and every time I make the drive to see her, we always make a point to eat at Pho Hoang—it truly is the best restaurant in Fort Smith, Arkansas!"
