"we're here for the birthday dinner of my best friends. we often came here because the atmosphere is great and that was always good. unfortunately we will not be back again. everything is very expensive for the portion sizes they give them, and the service was extremely slow. we had the sunberry martini, which is in a small glass for $11. we ordered another and we waited almost 40 minutes when we decided to say our waitress to quit. our server did not stop at the hibatchi often so that we needed most of the time that needed to be able to get them. the last stray was when our food was cooked. we ordered the kabuto deluxe that comes with the three choices. we rarely ordered our steak medium and he literally put the food on our plate raw. I don't speak the pink color that gets medium rarely, literally raw. We asked him if we could have cooked our a little more and he tried to blame us that we had ordered medium. medium is a bright pink center, while medium rare is a deep pink, but still boiled. our steak had literally dark red meat, but only a little cooked pieces. when he put it on our teller, it was good. the lobster also tastes really fishy, so we didn't finish it. not to mention, the menu clearly states gratulation is added to parties of 6 or more. we had only 5 people, and the waitress accused a 15% tap on the bill without letting us know. I get it probably changed due to covid, but let her customers know! so unprofessional especially if the service was not good. I would have tipped right away, but I don't want the gratulation to be added without being informed or at least somewhere a sign? we loved this place, but we're going to go somewhere from now on."

"For every one of you travelers who get nostalgic for a place you were "always only once, smell or hear something that leads you back there; Thailand and Southeast Asia fans are transported. It is fine white tablecloth with a small but very tasteful liquor and beer selection, including Singha, Kingfisher, Kirin and Chang among fine imports and domestic. They are traditional Thai and they speak and bear in a way that would make it impossible to know that you were a state side. Great table service, incredibly clean, start with water in crystal while you unfold your napkin and order a cocktail, Each spice palette is fine and you won't overdo if you are honest what you can handle. i.e. I am a spicy food fan, but what people call 'not too hot' causes me pain, so I order at 2-3 levels in Indian restaurants, or a 1 in Thai facilities. Perfect for family dinners or a business meeting about incredibly fresh, hot and perfectly presented Asian cuisine from a family that learned to cook colonial French and applied toe fineness to their own amazing creations. If it is too spicy or for some reason you 't enjoy your meal, it is replaced by any other option AND absent from check. And an unfortunate diner is more reserved than any other, literally 3 minutes, but you will rarely have this need. Usually, it is an ego induced peer printing aggravated spicing error on your part! When I came home from my first Sabbath in the land of smiles, this place was my year. Even despite the fine dining atmosphere, taking is as fast and good as any hole in the wall is Chinese place!"

"I have been really conflicted on how to approach this review. It has been 3 weeks since I ate here and took detailed contemporaneous notes. I do have to say I was quite disappointed, but that is because I expected authentic or nearly authentic Thai Food. This is where I was conflicted, because it 's more like the typical Chinese restaurant in America: catered toward Americans, rather than authentic food. I do not want to present myself as an expert, but I was very well schooled in several Asian cuisines for a few decades in Silicon Valley, Southeast and Easter Asia, Pacific Islands and in my own in law family, always ensuring to be schooled by native nationals of the country in question. So, there is a lot I don 't know, but I am well schooled in the fundamentals, both in eating and in preparing. I am so wordy and trying to qualify/semi quantify myself because of my confliction. Firstly, I think the typical American customer would be delighted here and have a wonderful experience, and enjoy the food. The service was very very nice....High American quality (often a sign the restaurant is not strictly authentic . The atmosphere was lovely, the owner attentive, and the waitstaff professional, accommodating and quite pleasant. A 4 4.5 Star atmosphere I would say, which is very high in my rating system. The food, however, left me quite disappointed, as I wanted Authentic, and so here we go with my notes: Bad Sign: General Tso 's chicken was on the menu. So, obviously trying to be Americanized Chinese food right off the bat. My co diner ordered that. It was some moist, most tough and had more air than chicken inside the breading. The mouth feel was an elastic breading with so much air in it, it made me think of eating a sponge...until my teach hit the chicken, which was quite tough and stringy and required a lot of chewing....as if it was cooked and re heated a number of times. you 'd be much better off at a Panda Express for this type of food. Terrible Sign: the Tea was lipton (or was it Bigalow? Horrible and ruined the experience, really. No Spice: I ordered Thai Basil Calamari, being told it was identical to there Thai Basil Chicken, which is one of my favorite dishes. I ordered a 7 heat. This should be quite hot in a Thai place and leave my mouth burning pleasantly. it was mild even by 1950 's American standards. It is more like a 0 on the typical Thai Restaurant scale. I could not tell at all it had any spice, and there was not a single Thai chili pepper....horrible culinary experience for me. The bowl of rice was extremely tiny....about 1/3 the amount I would expect. Certainly not enough to enjoy even a small Asian meal. If you are interested, read my review on a different Thai restaurant nearby, a couple months ago. It was pleasantly nearly authentic, and relative to this food....very, very, very good So, there it is. Nice atmosphere, nice people, terrible food. Since it is a restaurant and has Thai in its name, I must give it at MOST 2 stars."
