"We love the Mill for dinner and dine here often. This was our first try at brunch and will also be our last I'm afraid. It seemed that our waiter was overwhelmed and there were periods of minutes at a time when we didn't see him. For The Mill staff you need to think about the dining experience. It's not just about getting the things I ordered to the table in a timely fashion. Example: We ordered small plates and drinks..intending that we would enjoy them together. The manager delivered our small plates, but our drinks were still sitting at the end of the bar because ourwaiter was nowhere to be seen. We waited minutes and then asked the bartender if we could have the drinks he delivered them, but seemed a little miffed. The waiter should have been on top of this. I understand no one is perfect, but when he returned he blamed another table for the delay. Not good customer service apologize profusely and move on. Made me wonder if he was blaming me for slow service at another table. The manager should be more aware whenever staff has an encounter with a table they have the opportunity to make things perfect. He delivered the apps and left without asking if there was anything more I write these things because it matters and I wish to make The Mill even better. The service bump was a first for us at this restaurant and don't want to give the impression that The Mill is known for bad service, normally (dinner) is great."

"My wife and I went to McCray's for Valentines Day. It was crowded but we were seated promptly. After that the service started to go south. The server could not answer any question about the craft beer menu. She just told us to look it over and she would be back. When she returned she took our order for two Sam's Winter Warmers and an order of Tavern Chips. The world was good. In short order she returned with the wrong drink and the wrong appetizer. She seemed confused even after we pointed out that we had ordered something entirely different. Ah well. New maybe. Mistakes happen. Another server brought the Tavern Chips and we dug in. A good portion of chips, cheese, bacon bits, and onion. Delicious. Unfortunately we had no beer to wash down this treat and had finished about half when the server finally arrived with our brews. Well, it was busy on Valentines. We ordered our meal. Both of us had the Matador, a burger with jalapeno peppers, bacon jam, cheese, and bbq sauce. The burgers got there in a reasonable amount of time and as usual they were delicious. Spicy, sweet, and filling. I ordered another beer when they came to help wash it down. Unfortunately that beer never arrived. The server failed to put in the order and didn't even seem to realize it. Thank goodness there was water at the table. Having finished our burgers the server came by and started cleaning up and told us she was bringing the check. Never asked about our experience or if we wanted anything else. Just, I'll bring the check. Throughout the meal we both felt the service alternated between being ignored or being rushed to get out. I've had better service experiences at a McDonald's drive through. That said, the food was consistently good and the two beers we were served were tasty as well. I might be back. Might not. I can't recommend McCray's based on the service but the food is good so if you want to try it I would suggest going on a slow weeknight"

"We have eaten here many times since it opened but our experience last night was just terrible. The service was absolutely abysmal. We sat for 15 minutes before a server acknowledged us and took a drink order- 10 more minutes to receive drinks. I had to go looking for silverware when the server dropped off chicken wings with no plates no napkins, no silverware. After waiting 10 minutes and the chicken starting to get cold, I went and pulled silverware off of other tables. The salmon was not prepared correctly and tasted off. The steak was very tough, but most of all the service was absolutely horrendous. not one time did somebody come to check on us, I had to flag down somebody for everything that we needed. Five different entrées arrived at Vasili different times, so we weren’t even able to all eat together. Both bartenders at the bar were doing shots in front of guests. I just can’t even believe this is the same restaurant. I think the most ironic thing is when we made our reservation. We indicated that we had a birthday in our party of five, I don’t know if that means that we get extra horrendous service or what but what a disappointing experience all the way around. I am bummed because we have eaten here 2 to 3 times a month since they opened and never had a problem. I don’t know if last night was just a fluke or what but we will not be going back anytime soon."

"This restaurant cuts corners, and you will be the one to pay for it. I went and had Christmas Dinner at Loom with my partner, and ordered the special Christmas Prime Rib. When it came out, it was completely overcooked and dry. It was honestly tough as old boots. In addition to this, the mashed potatoes were cold and gloopy, and my side of Green beans consisted of 5 under-seasoned beans. When I brought up my concerns about the meal to the waitress she said Sorry you 're not loving it, the prime rib is definitely cooked well done, because they cooked all of it this morning, and some customers have not ordered this dish because of that. Anyways might I recommend some of our desserts? and walked away. There was no indication on the menu or from the waitress before I ordered that the prime rib would be cooked lazily and incorrectly by the chefs, and no offer of any sort of resolution. My concerns were completely dismissed and steamrolled over by the staff, and if it wasn 't Christmas I would have made a bigger scene and not paid for this joke of a meal. 38 Dollars a plate for well-done charcoal that was sold as prime rib. Oh, and 5 green beans. Merry Christmas, I will never eat here again, and I will make sure nobody in my circle ever steps foot in the joke known as Loom. AVOID unless you like overpaying for food that is worse than you would get at waffle house, IHOP, or any other Diner. Get a big mac and have a better night, I am not exaggerating at all."
