"Before I dive into the review, I want to mention that this restaurant is located inside the River Plaza at 405 N. Wabash. To find it, turn at the River Plaza sign off N. Wabash and follow the sidewalk into the building. I stopped by for lunch while visiting Chicago and was eager to try something different, having already experienced all the typical deep-dish pizzas at famous spots in the city.
Although it was a weekday lunchtime, the place wasn’t too crowded. There are about 10 tables both inside and outside, but since it was a rainy day, I chose to sit indoors. They don’t offer individual slices, but their small 10-inch pizza comes with four reasonably-sized slices. The service was quick and friendly. I ordered the 10-inch Capricciosa pizza, which arrived in about 10-15 minutes. It came straight out of the oven and looked fantastic. The crust was the perfect thickness—crispy with just the right amount of sauce, and the toppings were generous.
They also have a selection of desserts like gelato, tiramisu, cannolis, and cookies. I was too full for anything substantial, but after a recommendation from another customer, I decided to try two cookies. I’m glad I did—it was a great suggestion. Overall, this place is a delightful hidden gem for pizza lovers, offering good food and excellent service."
