"I've been here a couple of times but this time it was a little disappointing. The braesola starter which I love really saved up on the mushrooms. And they were plain old mushrooms, not the fabulous wild mushrooms they had in the past. I was amazed. The pasta specifically was salty and dry. The fried calamari and prawns were very salty too. The quality of the food that goes into the meals is really top notch. In their defense, we went there right after the holiday weekend and maybe it was a little different. It won't stop us from coming back in the hope that it was an anomaly rather than the norm."

"We have been going to this restaurant for years, and is the first time we rated it so low. The service made us feel we were just pushed us thru. The place was about 3/4 full yet we had poor , then rushed service. We felt like we were at a short order diner. Food was good as usual but the evening was ruined with the poor quality and no personality service. The owners were not there so we will give it another try when we know one of the brothers will be there. Definitely check before you go!"

"We absolutely adore Old Lisbon. They serve delicious traditional Portuguese dishes, with a variety of seafood options, sausage, skirt steak, and more. Their desserts are fantastic and they have a great selection of wines. Recently, they have expanded into a new space with a full bar, so now you can enjoy cocktails too. The ambiance is elegant yet unpretentious, and the staff is friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this restaurant."

"My husband and I relocated to upstate NY a year ago and this restaurant is one of the things we miss the most about Brooklyn. We ate here all the time and one meal was better than the next in addition to a great atmosphere and wonderful staff. Happily we’re returning for a visit to Brooklyn shortly and I’ve already made our dinner reservation. Can’t wait."

"I ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza with a Neapolitan crust and some garlic bread. The pizza was decent—neither outstanding nor bad—but it was a bit dry for my taste. However, the crust was excellent. I was really let down by what this restaurant calls garlic bread. Their version consists of sliced and toasted baguette pieces brushed with oil and a hint of garlic flavor, which was not what I anticipated. I was expecting something more like garlic rolls or something similar. I would definitely suggest steering clear of the garlic bread."
