"I just witnessed them being totally harassed by a customer who was upset of being asked if he wanted chicken or beef. He might have been drunk or something but doesn?t give him a right to speak that way to them. He called the young lady very bad words that I simply cannot write in this review. People really need to chill. She was just doing her job and can?t help it if she doesn?t know what protein you want. Treat food service workers with respect. They have fantastic food and service here but the customers are just plain rude. Stop abusing the workers we all know these times are hard but here they are being here everyday to feed us. At the least we can give them some respect. I don?t do reviews often but they deserve this."

"First of all, the house dressing? Absolutely AMAZING. I have been dining here for over 10 years and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. However, I’m writing this review to highlight how well they managed my partner’s food allergy. We often encounter issues when ordering since he has a milk allergy (not just lactose intolerance), and usually, about 70% of the time, our meals still include milk or cheese. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch the woman’s name, but she was incredibly knowledgeable about the ingredients and took great care to double-check with the cook about what was in our order when we picked it up. "I walked in and checked out the menu. The woman at the counter was friendly while I placed my order for chicken wings and French fries. When my food arrived, she was polite and laid-back. The wings and fries were delicious and not greasy at all. The service was outstanding. They also offer seafood, which appears to be reasonably priced compared to other seafood restaurants. I definitely recommend giving this place a try. My first experience was quite good!"

"absolutely inferior pizza and hoagies. the crust was boiled and soggy. ingredients are bland and tasteless (bad quality), the sauce (they did not even use enough, but perhaps that was a blessing) was watery and tasteless. hoagies are filled with high-quality ingredients and laid in stilt rolls. to eat completely terrible and disgusting. a bite and that was enough. in addition, the customer service has upset itself. they refuse to recognize that they are no longer on their game. they will argue with them and lie, not a manager tn cheap refunds. in all my years working in the industry, this is a dedication for a restaurant to refuse to take responsibility and accountability. this place was good earlier. I'm not gonna order from here again. many other places that will like to send high-quality food, and will be proud of their product."

"Absolute worst Chinese restaurant I have ever eaten at.I ordered the lunch special the other day two of them and got overcharged by over a dollar on each And states on the front of the menu that I have ,if you spend $30 you get a free crab rangoon or sushi roll so I asked the lady about that And she said they don't use the coupons anymore. So I asked her for an updated menu and whenever the food came I got the same exact menu that I already have. I highly recommend nobody ever order from this Chinese restaurant it's horrible!!!! And to top it off with my order I ordered a smoked salmon roll which was supposed to be cooked it came raw and the salmon had greenish brownish spots on it very nasty didn't even eat it I threw it away!!!"

"The food is delicious with a wide menu selection. I have been coming here for over 6 years and it was always a friendly place when Cristos was in charge. Unfortunately, my experience tonight with my sibling was not the same. My sister's meal was incorrect, and the waitress was very rude when she informed him that she had ordered her salad without feta and onion. Another waitress brought out the corrected meal but was also extremely rude. There were too many rude comments and arguments with us and other customers. I do not want to come back here after this experience. I know Cristos would be disappointed. It is disappointing to be treated so poorly in a restaurant that I used to love so much. This is the second time in the last month that these waitresses have been rude to us. Good food is important, but the atmosphere is also crucial to make it a great place to dine."

"We went to this place today to get some take out . It was our first time in is place . And it’s last time we got food there ‘ the place is dirty with pieces of rice on tables and on the floor. There is a woman laying down on the on the booth’s bench and talking over the phone . And the food was HORRIBLE. My orange chicken had no chicken , but just pieces of fried dough. Bad taste , greasy and hard to bite . Unbelievable!!! Please , stay away from this filthy place !"

"I absolutely loved the lunch from this place! I went to Chinatown to get some shrimp lo mein, but it was either too expensive or I felt like I was being treated poorly, so I left. With only half an hour for lunch, I walked into this restaurant and found exactly what I was craving. The food was hot, delicious, and only around $4, allowing me to return to work on time. "Their service was horrible I had a knee problem and it was raining so I ordered curbside pick up I called them they asked me to come in, when I went in bald guy asked me for my phone to show him my order I had forgot it in my car cuz I was frustrated due to a pain, I had to go back out walk to Sunoco get my phone so I did and I put it on top of the table so he could see it, but he was like I can not touch your phone pick it up and show me so I did and he couldn’t see it cuz I was little bit far from him cuz he was whining about covid and I stood 6ft from him, then he grabbed my phone and started looking closer. I’m sure their food is good but service wise they suck."

"Hi! My name is Camille and I visited John’s for the first time today! I am not from the state of New Jersey. I was traveling and starving so as I was going back to DC, I saw this store and decided to give it a try! I wanted to say that this place exceeded my expectations and more! The lady at the front (Caucasian lady) greeted me with a smile and even complimented my scent. She was so kind, warm and pleasant. She took my order very swiftly and got my sandwich done in 10 minutes. My food was hot, fresh and delicious! She even brought my order out to my car! I don’t know who the owner is if this establishment, but I will say that this place will definitely prevail as they treat their customers with respect and care! "I will not be returning to this restaurant. I tried to place a delivery order online, only to find out they only offer pick-up. When I called to clarify, since I had previously received delivery from them, I was told to use Doordash instead. However, when I placed my order through Doordash, I discovered there was a $100 limit, which I exceeded due to all the added fees and taxes. Now, two hours have passed since I started this process, and I’m still waiting in the parking lot for my food. I am very disappointed with their service."

"We avoided this restaurant for about a year due to poor service and delivery experiences, but recently started returning slowly. We only choose pick-up now, no delivery, because of past issues. Initially, the salads were good, but on our recent visits the chicken was cold and dry. The chicken cutlets in the subs and fries were also dry. Our most recent order of pizzas, including a Margherita and chicken parm, had excessive sauce and dry chicken. The Margherita pizza, which we were excited for, seemed old and dry, as if it had been sitting for a while. Overall, it was a disappointment and we may not return, as there are other places to try. On a positive note, the fries were enjoyable."

"Do not recommend, we ordered food and didn’t get what we asked. We spent $56 on this and when I called them she hung the phone up on me. "Fresh, but not memorable. I placed an online order, and it was ready in no time. The shop is small, with a plastic counter installed for Covid safety. The shrimp tempura appetizer featured three pieces of shrimp along with a variety of vegetables. The website didn't indicate that the dish was mostly veggies, which might have influenced our choice since it felt a bit overpriced for what we received. Everything seemed quite fresh, but the tempura was lacking in flavor. On the bright side, the wonton soup was the highlight of the meal with the best flavor. The Philly roll was good, while the shrimp Rangoon was rather basic and predominantly filled with cream cheese. The filling was bland at best, and the exterior lacked flavor as well. The pizza roll was simple, yet decent. Overall, while the freshness of the ingredients is appreciated, the meal fell short on taste."

"This place is hands down five star when you can order online and get what you actually want. When you have to order on the phone or in person, however, my rating goes down to three stars. When China Express ' Internet is down, you are still guaranteed to get good portions of tasty Asian American comfort food for the price, but you 're not guaranteed to get what you actually ordered. This is because your order might not be understood, like today when I ordered my usual but got orange chicken instead of fries. I didn 't specify with 'French ', ' so the cashier may have thought I was ordering some sort of fried Chicken. I was wondering why the total was almost $4 more than what it usually is, that wrote it off as due to recent inflation trends and COVID-19 induced scarcities. Nope ... they got the wrong order, but I got my rib tips and I like orange chicken so I 'm not going to complain when I eat that for lunch tomorrow. So my overall rating is four stars ... The average of my experiences based on the mode of ordering. If you order on the phone or in person and the price seems off, it would be wise to insist on them repeating the order back to you. The ownership of this restaurant is also kindly advised to remind the cashiers to listen more carefully to customers and repeat orders back. I understand that English isn 't always the first language of employees in family run Chinese restaurants, and mask wearing and plexiglass Shields make communication worse, but getting orders right is still a must for 5 star OG status."
