"Strangely, they didn’t have takeout menus available, which was disappointing because I wanted to check out an updated list of their dishes. Sometimes online menus miss the mark. My boyfriend was informed that we could either consult the menu on the wall or look it up on their website. I didn’t really want to leave the van since it was chilly outside, so we opted to order online. This worked out fine, though my boyfriend had just had his eyes dilated and struggled a bit with the brightness of his phone screen. For starters, we ordered the 8-piece wing appetizer, which was perfectly fried. Normally, I don’t eat much chicken skin, but I couldn’t resist these and kept them all for myself. They weren’t sauced, but there was a small container of something similar to a very runny duck sauce, which I enjoyed because I love dipping sauces. Jeremy ordered pho (beef broth with meatballs and slices of beef), but he wasn’t impressed with the noodles and didn’t finish it. We ended up giving the leftovers to a friend the next day, who livened it up with some red curry. Speaking of red curry, we also ordered a dish that included coconut milk, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, basil, and Chinese eggplant with duck. It was spicy but not overwhelmingly hot. I particularly enjoyed the large pieces of eggplant, although I might be the only person I know who actually likes it (aside from my mom). The dish came with rice, but we didn’t eat it since Jeremy is diabetic. But that wasn’t all! We also tried the Drunken Noodles, which included wide rice noodles, basil, bell pepper, green beans, and onions with duck. Who gets Thai food and doesn’t order drunken noodles? The noodles had a fantastic texture. We picked out the green beans, though, as we aren’t fans. This is definitely a dish we’ll order again. Jeremy also got the Beef Cube Steaks (flank steak that’s deep-fried until crispy and sautéed with oyster sauce and onions). It came with mushrooms, which I gladly ate since Jeremy doesn’t like them. He was surprised to find it was a whole steak, served alongside lo mein and a side salad dressed with what tasted like ranch dressing. It was delightful! We don’t typically order drinks, but I can’t resist milk teas. I opted for mango, while Jeremy chose passion fruit. Overall, it was a fantastic meal, and we will definitely be returning!"
