"We were told to expect a 20-minute wait, but ended up waiting 45 minutes. The veggie tempura and alashi tofu were overly greasy and lacked flavor. The veggie sushi roll was decent, but nothing impressive aside from its presentation. My husband’s sushi was either deep-fried or drowned in BBQ sauce, all mixed together to the point where it was nearly unrecognizable. The hot dishes were served alongside cold ones. I hope this isn’t typical for them. On a positive note, the dogs seemed to enjoy their meals!"

"Absolutely not, the sushi is average going down hill since the first time I tried it. We arrived and we're expecting decent service we sat down were given menus and ordered. We weren't served water until after the meal. When I went to order it the male server quickly apologized and went to quickly get it. Then we asked for the check and the lady working there comes to tells us a loud rude voice that tip is not included AND MAKE SURE TO TIP. So I go up to the register and pay Apple Pay and she once again says LEAVE THE TIP ITS NOT INCLUDED like...Last time I checked it wasn't mandatory to not only tip but also tip for bad customer service. I understand when it's busy and I'm a very patient person, who tip every-time we go out but when you ignore us and disrespect your customers like that it ensure that you lose business. Honestly don't even waste your time the it's a pretty location with hardworking employees but until the figure out what's the Asian short lady's problem we will not be coming back."

"Whenever I eat at a new spot, customer service and food are the first things I look at. Having said that...ALL of the staff were so hospitable! Everyone greets you as soon as you walk in. Inside the restaurant was really clean and seating arrangement is spaced not too close to each other. We were seated right away and given the menu. Our orders were taken and were given ample amount of time to decide what we wanted.We ordered the miso soup, calamari and sushi. The Surf Turf and Tokyo Town rolls were yummy! Pretty cute detail they wrote the name of their restaurant in the calamari sauce. When we paid our bill, the owner approached us. She wanted to make sure we enjoyed our meal which we sure did! I wish I got her name but she said she's been the new owner for a few months now. It started to get busy when we left which means they are definitely doing something right!"

"So.. normally i love sushi but this is the first time i had to leave without finishing everything. The service was nice the people were friendly, the music was kinda depressing that 's an in the moment thing though)But let 's talk about the food... Now that Amagi has changed ownership, so I 'd watch this place closely. The miso soup was cold and the sushi was very much room temperature. The quality of the fish was weird too, i noticed the flesh on one of the fish would shred when I 'd run my chopstick along it lightly which i haven 't seen before it had a weird look so i poked it)I feel bad because i think they could do well but they have some improving to do"

"My husband and I go out every Friday night and I chose Kagura recently. I was trying to find an authentic establishment that could transport us back to our favorite country to visit. Tucked away in chill El Segundo, lies Kagura! We made a reservation, found free street parking, was sat down quickly and we started to scan the menu. Our server was so kind and patient, served our hot tea and water often. I was craving a piece of fresh fish but wanted all the tastes. This restaurant has so many bento options and I was in heaven! A main, a soup, salad, tempura, sushi, rice WOW. Once I saw yellowtail collar on the menu though, it was over for me. That is gold! Buttery, full of flavor and an adventure to eat collar is the most underrated piece of fish. Cold soba was light and refreshing. Tempura was perfectly fried, what a treat. Sashimi bites, fluffy rice, tangy salad, miso soup... We also had a little appetizer of the spicy tuna crispy rice and it came out cut like a pizza, so cute. My husband had a favorite of his: curry udon. Hearty, perfectly spiced and a very nice portion. He was so happy. We were over the moon about our meal, our experience, ambiance and cannot wait to come back and eat more of the menu!"

"We went with friends…we ordered:1. Sliced Yellowtail with jalapeños not bad2. Shrimp tempura appetizer too much batter.3. BBQ Beef ribs very undercooked4. Beef Yakisoba Noodles ok noodles were a bit over cooked.5. Hamachi sushi very fresh6. Unagi sushi okThey gave us our check before we could even order dessert and I never asked for the check…I told them after we paid we wanted dessert. They gave to us dessert and an additional bill, maybe should have comped us for the hurried bill since it was only 2 scoops of green tea ice cream. ?"

"We're on holidays from Vancouver, BC and were having sushi withdrawl. We arrived at 5:30PM and were the first diners and decided to try dishes that were new and standard to us. The first was the appetizer sampler. Very nice combination of textures, colors and flavours. The tuna was especially fresh and tasty. Next was the Kakiage tempura. Wow! I've never seen this on the menu in Vancouver. Then the caterpiller roll and salmon skin roll. These were on the average side of familiar. We were pretty full after this and decided this was enough. One suggestion would be that the restaruant should not use break away chop sticks. Service was excellent. Very friendly and proficient. We'll be back to try other items."

"This place is on the busy PCH at a small mall with a parking lot, and I think it's quite a great little hidden treasure. The interior is rather modest with 8 tables and a sushi bar. Our server was quick, and the food came out at a good pace. I ordered California roll and vegetable roll for my kids, and the harbor combo for myself with 8 pieces of sushi, and a spicy tuna roll. We also got edamame. I was really pleased with the sushi--much better than I expected for the price and location. My kids scarfed down the rolls in no time, too. One note of caution, the spicy tuna was unusually spicy. I'm used to very spicy food, but I did note the roll had more bite than I'm used to. All in all, I found it a great experience."

"The Thai food was decent. Ordering online was quick, only taking 20 minutes to prepare! The ambiance was beautiful. The dishes were mild as expected. The pad thai with chicken had a surprising sweetness to it, which was enjoyable. It could have used more peanuts and chili flakes for added texture and flavor. The fresh fruits were a nice touch. The fried eggplant had good flavor but was overly greasy. The massaman curry had a beautiful taste, but I wished the potatoes were cooked more to absorb the flavors of the curry. The dish seemed to be dominated by tofu. The seaweed salad was interesting with cauliflower, but my dining partner found it to have a strange taste. I found it to be bland and lacking in seasoning."

"One of the best spots in the Bay Area for Tonkotsu ramen! My kids always look forward to dining here when we’re in town. The sushi is also excellent. During this visit, the power was out, and I really enjoyed the ambiance created by the cloudy, stormy light, with only our voices and the sound of wind chimes filling the air. The smoky atmosphere made it feel like we were in a coastal village."

"I haven't been to Tokyo House since well before the pandemic, I only ordered rolls then. The service wasn't good so I didn't go back right away. Fast forward to giving them another try last week and the service was amazing. I ordered crab salad and sashimi, which came with miso and a little bowl of rice. The crab salad was very good, I could totally get a double order for takeout and make a meal of it. I love miso, so that's always awesome. Then the sashimi. While it seemed fresh (no odor) it definitely was not good quality. Very poor texture on all the different fish, the salmon wouldn't even hold together with my chopsticks when I lifted it from the plate. It just kept falling apart and I never did get a full size piece into my mouth. The ahi had to have been tailpipe tuna, which is gassed with carbon monoxide to make it a pretty color for a much cheaper price. The bright pink color transferred to the white strands that lined the plate. And the rice! It's really hard to mess up rice but it was really really mushy. I've never been served a side of rice with sashimi before, but then again I haven't eaten everywhere, but I didn't eat theirs. I won't say I'll never go back but I'll stick with my two favorites in downtown Everett. If I do go back it would be for the crab salad and their customer service, and maybe a roll or two."
