"During the current pandemic, I have noticed a significant decline in service at many places, but that’s not the case here. I eat out frequently, and a couple of weeks ago, I was absolutely impressed by the outstanding service at this restaurant. It reminded me of what dining out was like before the pandemic. If you're looking to be wowed by a restaurant, this is the place to go. I had to bring my boyfriend here; he ordered the camarones al ajo while I chose the camarones a la diabla, both of which are among my favorites. The camarones al ajo comes with an incredible buttery mushroom sauce that is simply exquisite. I couldn't resist ordering the fried jalapeños, which are a fantastic addition to any Mexican dish. The preparation of theirs is excellent—fresh and perfectly cooked. Overall, a remarkable dining experience!"

"The food was bombardment! We enjoyed the chips and salsa, it also came with some Coleslaw type salsa, which was quite delicious. I had the Asada plate, Asada boiled medium. It was amazing! The steak was wonderfully seasoned and it had my favorite Mexican farewell on the plate with everything, a grilled jalapeño! Yum. My fiancée enjoyed an Asada Taco salad, just some of the most delicious steak on a salad with salsa and a crispy chip for a bowl. It was pretty dang good, Steak was amazing. We're coming back!"

"Garcia's has many locations now all over Central Texas and I think it's because the food is so good. This is a new location here in San Marcos and the local garage keeps it busy. Several beers on tap including dos Equis and Corona with Bud light and Miller lite for domestics. The fajitas are always a good go to but my favorite is the Mexican enchilada plate and the cheese enchiladas. Nice open spaced interior and not too loud. The staff is helpful and quick to get your food out."

"early for our reservation and hostesses didn't sit us. I asked for an empty one, but hostess said it wasn't ready. they said they were text, but not. they sat a bigger party (we were 2 people) so I approached the writing again and noticed that they were sitting and the standing I inquired was still empty. she finally sat at the desired stand. we wanted to get our order, but we were ready. two commands of tacos. we waited 45 minutes and were told that it served a party of 30, but our food came soon. after an hour, the food was not ready or cooked. we left. I had a mobile order in while we waited for johnny rockets and built the time when we left uno, our food was ready. I get that there are things from a restaurant control, but something that bind us next to chips) that were not refilled would have gone far. will not be back soon!"

"CURRENTLY sitting here waiting on the manager to come to the table. My food was not good and I asked if I could replace it with something else. The meat chips were stale and my husband’s “grilled” vegetables were completely raw. It’s been almost half an hour and my whole party has finished their food. The server kept making up excuses as to why the manager was unavailable BUT could not “approve” the switch himself. When he finally came to the table (which btw he was behind the bar the whole time) he offered to exchange the food but after waiting so long, we decided to run through a drive thru. Do not recommend. UPDATE Before we were even able to pay leave, my husband was throwing up in the bathroom. I can’t believe for the price we paid, this was the experience."

"So, I used to go here a lot and want to give it a good review. This is the second time I have gone in the last few months and it will be the last. The first time I ordered cheese nachos and I got chips covered in shredded beef and no cheese. I had to send it back. This time I ordered the beef tamale and it was all beef. There was so much it was like a roast covered in tamale. They give huge portions, but that does not make it worth it. The table was a little dirty and overall it is really loud. Our waiter was good and very friendly, but can't make up for the bad food."

"I've been dining here for years, and my entire family has consistently been 100% satisfied. I've never experienced any issues with the food or service. One time, we were fortunate enough to have someone cover our lunch bill, which made the experience even more special. We absolutely love this restaurant! The food is always delicious, and the portions are so generous that I often have leftovers for a few days, just from my entree. The staff and the owner are very nice as well. This place is always a joy to visit!"

"My intention was to have a nice meal for lunch. As I took my seat, I noticed the staff recognized that I was waiting for the menu, it was not very crowded, but after sitting for 10 minutes and watching the staff wait on 3 other patrons who showed up after me.
