"The biggest reason we won’t be returning, however, was the audacity of claiming that the chocolate cake is homemade when it’s clearly the same cake, complete with the decorative frosting, that you can buy from Publix. I’ve purchased this “chocolate supreme cake” from Publix many times. When I remarked how much it looked like the one I buy from there, the waitress quickly pointed out that their chef used to be a baker at Publix. That may very well be true, but I know my cakes and chocolate. I suspect I overheard them discussing my comment in the back, but by then we were done and decided to leave after paying. No one said goodbye on our way out, but that’s fine. I loved the ambiance, but the food experience was inconsistent. Here's a lesson: just be honest about where your desserts come from. I wouldn't have minded as much if they had simply said it was from a local bakery."
