"My wife and I wanted to try something off the strip as a neighborhood gem. We do this from time to time, and anyone looking at my review history would show a nice mix of popular and off the beaten track type of cuisine choices. This restaurant has numerous positive reviews, and the menu looked delicious. I honestly don't understand how this restaurant could get so many positive reviews, unless they were being made by insiders. We arrived on time for our reservation, yet still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. It was not because the restaurant was crowded, it was because they didn't have the staff to clear tables and seat us. There was one server for the whole restaurant. She seemed overwhelmed, and all we heard was her apologies to every table all night long. The manager did a decent job trying to help, but then he and the server were bickering all night long as well. The pasta de fagioli soup was world-class in my opinion. Everything else was a freefall from there. The pasta was overcooked and falling apart, and the chicken tasted rubbery. The sauces seemed uninspired, as if they were made from a can instead of from scratch. When we received the bill, we noticed an overcharge and pointed it out to the manager. He quickly resolved it. We spent $100 for a table of two. Yet we would have been far more satisfied with the value, food, and service had we gone to Olive Garden for half the price. I overheard several regulars at other tables mention someone on staff was missing due injury or illness, perhaps the owner or the chef. That would explain a lot. In its current state, I could not see how this restaurant would be able to survive with the food and service we received last night. I would be embarrassed to bring anyone here ever again, let alone my understanding wife."
