"This was a last-minute find during my recent trip, and I had never heard of this restaurant before. I was thrilled to discover such a beautifully designed space. It was a fantastic place to stop and enjoy an authentic Mexican dining experience. The prices were reasonable, and the amazing food was definitely worth it. This is truly some of the finest Mexican dining I’ve experienced, deserving more than a 5-star rating. I also want to give a big thanks to both the waiter and the chef – you both were wonderful! Next time I’m traveling through this area, I will definitely make another stop here."

"First time to Chimi’s and it was good. I always try the beef fajitas on my first visit to a Mexican restaurant. It came with beans, rice; guacamole, pico de gallo, green and red bell peppers and onions. Most of the beef was tender and juicy. The meat didn’t have the limey taste or enough spice to elevate the taste to a 5 star level. Our server provided us excellent service. I like the brightness of all the colors in the dining area. I will be back to try other items including their margaritas."

"Decided to try something different for our date night and we were pleasantly surprised. A modest Mexican restaurant in appearance, but worth the visit. If you are tired of bland food, crowded franchise restaurants with bad salsa ,stale chips and wimpy margaritas then try this place out. The food was great, the service was great, the margaritas were not watered down and great, and we will be coming back soon!!"

"This place is really cool! It's a little hole in the wall and seems to be an authentic style. Their tacos are amazing (I'm not even sure if they sell anything else). My friends and I have gone several times and always order way too many tacos. We've gotten at least two rounds every time."

"Beware of getting scammed... My family frequents los juanes and have recently ordered the poblano pepper meal to go. My mom noticed the chiles looked extremely small. We cut past the egg and flour coat (which is a lot) to discover only HALF a poblano pepper. The order is advertised as 2 peppers with rice and beans however they are actually giving you one cut into two pieces and charging a hefty $15... My parents went back to the restaurant and even took pictures to show the workers as evidence. A lady responded in unreasonable anger, denying the deceptive order and PUSHED my mom. Here are pictures of what we got. They cut the tail off the pepper to hide the fact that they are giving you halves. Pues que lástima que están estafando a la gente. Es obvio que parten el chile en mitad y lo cubren con masa y huevo. Con razón ni tienen el rabo. Y que manera de responderle a mi mamá con un empujón. No tienen vergüenza."

"Let me start off by saying that it is highly recommended to not go during rush hour if you are on a time schedule. Time waited to sit 3 was 10 minutes (not bad , but time waited to get our orders was around 15 minutes. Service is very abrupt due to the very busy environment. Definitely not enough servers. One of our guests ordered their food without cheese and they left the cheese off all the meals (kind of funny . Food was decent for being Tex Mex. I had the Chicken Flautas, but would've been better with Cheese. My other guests enjoyed their meals. I would go again at a different time to see if Service would be better. The restaurant sits at the bottom of the Chase Bank Bldg downtown Houston so it primarily serves the Bldg and surrounding customers. Recommend :"

"We came in on Sunday May 23rd. Our waitress never came back to our table to check to see how the food was and I think it was possibly on purpose. All of our food was unseasoned at the table. I ordered the cheese chicken and I got maybe a spoonful of cheese on the entire plate, my chicken was dry with no seasoning, and the salsa tasted like tomato paste.
