The reason I rated the service and atmosphere 4 stars instead of 5 is that the server, likely the owner, speaks English as a second language. Some people might find that off-putting, but for me, it brought back fond memories of my dad and his restaurant, where English was also a second language. He's doing a great job—my order was perfect, and he was incredibly friendly.
Come here for the food. It's authentic and super affordable with generous portions. It seems like the locals have caught on, but if you're just passing by or unfamiliar with the area, definitely stop in. I noticed another nearby shop (won't mention its name) selling the same dish for $16. I love Vietnamese cuisine because it's both delicious and hasn't succumbed to overpriced, exploitative practices.
