"When we finally ordered two entrees, the first one arrived within five minutes but was poorly prepared and unappetizing. We didn't receive the second dish until nearly ten minutes later. Even though there were still Uber Eats orders being taken and picked up, we felt rushed out the door, despite it being less than ten minutes until closing. I've never experienced such rude and unprofessional treatment before. EDIT: I've attempted to call and speak with someone about this issue twice, but both times the same person who served us hung up on me. This is truly disappointing."

"We found this restaurant during covid. We did a lot of take-out then. We have also supported them many times getting great food and service. This most recent experience left us disappointed. The service and the food was lacking. We may try againbecause we really did like them but it was so different than just a few months ago that we may not. The cost of everything hasso skyrocketed that when I go out I want to enjoy one or the other, the food or service. I understand as having been a servermyself, I understand being shorthanded but neither of those things seem to be the problem. I hope they get it worked out!"

"El nopal is a super popular and rapidly growing Mexican food establishment spread throughout the Lousiville area and it surrounding cities. This particular location is off Preston Highway in a shopping center where hillview is right before the bullitt county borderline. As mentioned el nopal has grown to so many locations that I can't possibly count them all. However this hillview location is one of the originals. It has at least been here for 20 years. I can remember when my wife and I was teenagers working retail nearby. On paydays we would cash our checks and go to this el nopal practically every Friday. As years passed by we haven't frequented this establishment as much. While it is still close to our parents and our kids schooling their are other el nopals closer to our residence. But we still do come from time to time For nostalgic reasons. We recently had them reserve the back room for over 40 people when we got my youngest and 5th born daughter baptized. They were easy to work with and were very prepared. Honestly the least stress I've ever been when reserving a big party room. They did great. For the food me and my family like most Lousiville families love us some El nopal. There is a reason this place has gotten so many local locations. To me they have the best complimentary red salsa and chips out there. Always Fresh and always tasty. Me personally my go to meal is the enchilada supremas which is 5 different type of enchiladas. I always throw a curve ball and order all 5 of mine with cheese and just red sauce and cheese on top. I'm picky but it's good. Plus life hack. Once all the enchiladas are gone you have a huge plate of queso cheese left that you can then use the complementary chips on. You're welcome! My wife has sampled the menu much more than me as has my oldest daughter. They love everything they have tasted here. I'd say the menu is traditional Mexican. So if your favorite Mexican establishment has a meal than el nopal Probably does as well. Overall great local franchise with tasty food and this is a nice location. The location has always been nostalgic for me because we've been here so many times and for so many years but I was completely impressed and blown away of how well they handled our large party reservation. Great job to all workers and staff!"

"This place is absolutely amazing. I first came here with my Daughter and her family so the memories I have here mean the world to me. Every time I visit I am reminded of them and feel close to them again since they have moved so far away. The have aloaded fries plate that is absolutely amazing. All the food has been wonderful and the atmosphere is awesome! The service isstellar and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are friendly and inviting and make you feel welcome. They do not rush youinto a decision and are willing to make recommendations that fit exactly what you didn't know you wanted! Every time I come hereI find a new favorite. They are very kid/family friendly and are very patient with little ones. My granddaughter is autistic andthey had so much patience with her that it was heartwarming. They soon had her out of her shell and smiling and laughing andloving being there. As a family we felt welcomed and embraced. We were not made to feel uncomfortable for the littles getting alittle loud and they stopped by to laugh with the littles. This is definitely a place I will return to both as a family and as acouple. The staff makes this a great place and the exceptional food just puts the icing on the cake!!!"

"We love El Molcajete! Found this gem in Duncan and we've been multiple times since. I usually get a large margarita at Mexican restaurants because there's not much alcohol in the drink, but every time I've been here my drink is tasty and the alcohol is not watered down and the flavor of the margarita is perfect! Took my Dad out to eat today and as usual the food is bangin! The waitstaff greeted us as soon as we walked in, and I love the friendly atmosphere. Dad has to eat gluten free now thanks to an allergy and our waitress was top notch. She made sure his tacos were corn only. My burrito was delicious and the queso dip is amazing! Never have to ask for refills or napkins. This place is small but cozy inside and very clean. Our waitress was super kind when we placed an order to go to take a plate home for my Dad's girlfriend. She even recommended different quesadillas they could make to help us choose, and when they bagged up the to go order the added chips and dip again too! "We eat there today at 12:02 table 13 Jorge was server! I ordered cheese dip , it was very runny and nachos supreme. I told him all beef. When it came I started eating it and it was chicken beans and beef! It was totally gross. He came and ask if I wanted a box since I didn’t eat much of it! "We went to Sauza's on a whim last night after not being able to get into the restaurant we wanted to and we were thoroughly impressed with this place. We were seated right away and our server took care of us immediately. We think maybe due to a bit of a language barrier she didn't understand a question my husband had and she quickly went to get Daniel, who we found out is the new owner and that's when everything got even better! Daniel is an AMAZING person who has GREAT hospitality skills, a genuinely good personality and a true passion for his business. He answered our questions (we're very well versed on Mexican cuisine) and once we had our food, even came back to ask how everything was. I had a minor tidbit of constructive criticism about my dish although it was delicious and he took it very well (I mean I ate it all LoL)! "The food and atmosphere were fantastic, but our waiter took a long time to attend to us. We were there for nearly 2 and a half hours. Not all experiences seemed to be the same, as the table next to us received their food and drinks quite quickly. Overall, I would rate this place 4 stars for service but 5 stars for the food! It was a very enjoyable experience."
