"The food is excellent, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Water glasses were never refilled, and dishes were cleared away before we were done. I had to chase down the waiter just to get attention. To make matters worse, they refused to accept a voucher that had no expiration date, even though it was still valid; then they went ahead and added an expiration date to it. It's a shame because we truly enjoy the food and the atmosphere, but the struggle to get water and keep our dishes until we finish really detracted from the experience."

"The Rigatoni was undercooked, still firm in the center. When we informed the server, they quickly removed the dish without any comment and returned moments later with the bill, omitting the Rigatoni with carbonara from our total. While I appreciated not being charged for it, my son was left without anything to eat. The Parpadelle sheets were all stuck together, and the Mare sauce was overloaded with chili flakes—my lips are still tingling from the heat. It’s disheartening to see a restaurant that was once known for its excellent pasta unable to cook it properly anymore. To improve, they need to hire more staff during peak hours so that the waitstaff can take their time to engage with customers and address their concerns effectively. Additionally, having a proper chef and manager present would help ensure the quality of the dishes served."

"This is one of our favorite restaurants in Charlotte and the food on this occasion did not disappoint. It was outstanding! However, I expected the same level of service as times past and this visit was sub par at best. We were greeted with a card congratulating us on our 25th Anniversary as we sat down, ordered our apps and then dinner. We finished the wine as our meal came out (brought to us by someone else other than our server). We would have ordered an additional bottle of wine or drinks but were never afforded that opportunity. We didn’t see our server from the time we were asked how the apps were until finishing the main meal. Asking us if we would like to look at the dessert menu was the next question. We declined, paid our bill, tipped the standard 20% and left. We will be back because the food is phenomenal but hopefully this was just an off night as it relates to the service."
