"Its located in the basement of the building so the ceiling is very low. Smells a bit funky. The smell hit me as soon as I stepped in. There were many small flys (gnats) flying above our food. A bug landed into the rice and made itself at home on the plate. We immediately left after this. Food was disgusting I only ate the chorizo quesadilla that was served with no cheese (never had a quesadilla with no cheese in it). And it was the size of a taco. But it was the only thing that looked edible on my plate. The beans looked unappetizing. My girlfriend said the beans tasted sour to her. The men’s bathroom looked like a gas station rest stop. Random pipes were uncovered in the corner of the bathroom. I’ve been to many Mexican restaurants this is by far the worst. Very confused by some of the positive ratings. I do feel like this establishment needs to be inspected by the health department."

"What can I say? This place is everything. Customer service is everything. When I think about Bartlett, I think about this great place. For a restaurant that has no bar.... it works. This is the real definition of a family restaurant. Whether you want to bring your family, friends or colleagues... this is the place. I left my iPad and other personal items at this point. The next day they called back and they threw it away and waited for me when I returned the next day and would not take some kind of tip for it. I highly recommend El Idolo!"

"I was looking forward to $1.25 margs and free queso after reading some reviews and tips. Must have been some old specials for Jalepenos because we didn't find such deals and steals. Regardless, we shared a large $7 marg. Basic. Added some white queso quac; both yummy. And then shared a burrito plate which fed us both. Appeared to be a party space in the basement since we saw lots of food, drinks, balloons boxes of diapers making their way down the stairs. Great party option, don't take my word for it. Chill spot for snacks in Tongy!"

"Hidden away in a pseudo stripmall sandwiched between a walmart and Ford dealership, this colorfully decorated Mexican restaurant offers a now standard to be expected Hispanic restaurant experience . Nothing wrong here. Greeted at the door by friendly culturally appropriate friendly younger men and escorted to a very colorfully decorated patio I was offered the traditional warm daily cooked chips and salsa, a very large flagon of Dos Equis. I had 2+ hours to kill waiting for tire replacement and no pressure was given to hurry me through the dining experience. An extensive menu so large at first viewing, if you are looking for it, it has to be offered. Average price per meal 15$. Big mug beer 9$, so 50$ minimum out the door for 2 folks is a reasonable expectation. There are so many offerings that it was a dice roll for choice. Most lunch specials under 10$. So many offerings, I couldn 't choose, so asked the manager to offer a suggestion and we decided on the Bistec Mexicano, ribeye, onions, tomatoes jalapenos. Guacamole salad, rice with corn tortillas. Manager Jose Baltazar was extremely helpful. Even with this extensive of a menu they are willing and able to create a lunch or dinner to one 's specific requirements. If you can dream it up they can create it. They also offer a free lunch card 5th one free. One can 't go wrong here. Asked for side of hot salsa and was not disappointed. Shout out to my server was Jose Alberto. It 's all about the sauces. Their home made salsas are awesome. So, as for a bit of negative,....i would have preferred the ribeye chunks more medium rare, but to be honest I didn 't request it that way. Overall opinion, I will be returning. Very pleased with the service and the food."

"We really enjoy dining here. Although the service can be a bit slow at times, the food is excellent. We go there often, and it's nice to get to know the staff."

"I’m not a local, but I stumbled upon this place for lunch, and after a tough day, the food here truly brightened my mood. The staff was friendly and attentive, checking in on us frequently. Even when they accidentally mixed up my order with the table next to us, we all shared some good laughs, and they apologized profusely each time. The ambiance of the restaurant is fantastic—it's fun and vibrant, perfectly matching its theme. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were generous for the price. If I find myself in the area again, I’ll definitely stop by."

"Ate here tonight with a friend, went around 6ish and there was a line at the door (because their food service is amazing). The line moved quickly and we got a table in less than 5 minutes. It was pretty busy but chips drinks came super quick. We ordered and got our food in less than 10 min. The quesabirria is my favorite and DELICIOUS. Service is amazing and they always have a cheerful attitude. Two meals, chips with queso, and one soda was $30! You can’t find many places with friendly faces and affordable delicious food. Thank you Victor Fuentes the staff for being my favorite spot in Pekin!Side note: they do several events foe the community and some nights a percentage of their sales go to local businesses. What a wonderful restaurant!"

"The dining experience was fantastic! The server and host were incredibly friendly, and the live performance added a great touch to the atmosphere. I wasn't aware that they offered live performances, but now that I know, I definitely plan on returning. I came here for dinner with my parents, and I wasn't quite sure what to order. My waitress, Isabel, was very welcoming and helped me navigate the menu. She suggested some popular dishes that really caught my interest. I can't wait to come back!"

"The restaurant offers a family-friendly atmosphere and attracts a diverse mix of customers. The background music features artists like Ximena Sarinana and Ventino, adding to the enjoyable ambiance. I started with chips and salsa along with a Corona, but it was the Steak and Cheese Burrito, with a touch of scrambled eggs, that truly delighted my taste buds. The portion size was impressive as well! It was so delicious that it felt indulgent. I highly recommend checking out this restaurant for yourself! I am sharing this review purely based on my experience and did not receive any compensation for it."

"This restaurant offers a better experience for vegetarians compared to Mi Cancun or Los Tres Magueryes in the area. They allow you to customize any menu item with vegetarian options, which is a refreshing change from the soggy vegetables typically served as a meat substitute elsewhere. The prices are also quite reasonable. One suggestion for the restaurant: although we visited in the late evening, if strong cleaning chemicals are being used at the bar, it would be best to seat customers further away from the odor."

"I must say, I am pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! The service here is exceptional, from the friendly greetings to the attentive waitstaff and talented chefs. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. We never have to wait long for our orders, which is a huge plus. The overall experience and atmosphere at Casa Las Palmas is always top-notch. I would definitely give this restaurant a 10-star rating!"

Her big smiles and friendly demeanor really added to the atmosphere! She definitely deserves a raise! The portion sizes were generous too!"

"We used to frequent this restaurant 2 or 3 times a month for the past couple of years. However, since they moved to a bigger location down the street, it seems like it took them some time to adjust and get things right. During our visit last night, we were surprised to find out that none of us were served guacamole with our meals. It turns out that they have updated their menu and now charge $3 to add guacamole to your meal. Additionally, the prices for beer and Margaritas have increased, as well as the price for fajitas, with smaller portion sizes. The restaurant used to be busy on Friday nights, but it was slow last night. It seems like the word is spreading that prices have gone up by 20 to 30%. We plan to try out a few other Mexican restaurants in the area on Friday nights for the next few weeks before considering returning to see if they have made improvements."

"La Herradura is a hidden gem of authentic Mexican cuisine nestled in the near South eastern area of Evansville, near Barnes and Noble. The value for your money is crazy, I got their House Special Sampler, two plates of amazing food for $11, never been to a place that gives you as much variety as I had for the price I paid. The meat is seasoned authentically (just same salt and pepper mainly) so I think that is confusing to some, but it 's truly authentic that way without taco sauce or taco seasoning which is americanized versions of Mexican meats. The food came out quick too, we went during the week and had no issue getting drinks refilled and our bellies stuffed. Will gladly brind others here in the future, not only for the huge portions of food, but for the unique experience here in Evansville."

"We ate here today on Fathers day. We had a party of 7 and once we got inside we noticed signs saying they were extremely short staffed. Our waitress was extremely friendly and stated that they only had two servers for the entire restaurant. To be honest we were a little worried considering we had four kids that were starving. She kept the kids content with chips and salsa and the refills coming and every time she came back to the table she apologized for the wait. When our food came everything was perfect. We understand businesses being short staffed but this woman did a phenomenal job, she went above and beyond tonight! We will definitely be returning"

"Meal Type: Lunch Price Range: $10–20 Food: ★★★★★ Service: ★★★★★ Atmosphere: ★★★★★ I highly recommend this restaurant! The food is outstanding, particularly the Chicken Fajitas, Cheese Dip, Taco Salad, Fajitas, and Tacos—each dish bursting with flavor. The service is equally impressive, with a friendly and attentive staff that enhances the dining experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and enjoyable, making it a perfect spot for lunch. Overall, a fantastic experience!"

"The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the Fajita Cancun, which was a fantastic keto-friendly option. It was so tasty that I returned the very next day to enjoy it again. There was a line waiting to get in, which is always a good indication of a restaurant's quality. It was definitely worth the wait!"

"We have ordered from here many times and never had a problem however today that was not the case. A chicken quesadilla was ordered ONLY chicken and cheese and was made incorrectly. no big deal, we drive back to the restaurant and ask for it to be remade and the man up front was very rude but went to tell the kitchen to remake it. long story short, it was made wrong again. when brought to their attention they were very rude once again. will not be going back. how do you mess up a chicken quesadilla amd then attack the customer when its brought to your attention ?????"
