"We recently visited ANNEX and had a great experience. For drinks, we ordered the House Margarita and a specialty Dos XX, paired with the Toro Loco Burrito, which came with steak. The burrito was filled with rice and beans — it was good, but we had enjoyed a better version during a previous visit. We also got some queso for the chips, which added a nice touch. My wife opted for the fajita burrito, which featured a mix of beef and chicken, and she really liked it. She requested charro beans instead of fried beans, and the waitress was very accommodating, bringing her a bowl of the charro beans. Overall, it was a very good visit, and we took some photos of our food to remember the occasion. We often frequent this restaurant in the Legions area, especially after attending Kansas City Monarchs games. On this visit, we both ordered the fajitas mix burrito, which was generously smothered in queso cheese. It also came with rice and a choice of black beans, refried beans, or charro beans. The burrito was packed with fajita veggies, beef, chicken, and shrimp. Everything was incredibly delicious! It's common for burritos with shrimp to include smaller salad shrimp, but we were pleasantly surprised to find six full shrimp, size 30-40, which were baked and seasoned perfectly. We also ordered a pitcher of Texas margaritas to share, which was enough for about four full glasses. We did have to ask for lime, but that didn't detract from our enjoyment. We were very pleased with both the margaritas and burritos, and we even brought home half of our burritos to enjoy later."

"I have always loved chicken quesadillas.... it's a go-to comfort food for me.... nice crisp toasted tortilla, perfect amount of Mexican cheese, diced chicken, sour cream, guac, pico, even some shredded lettuce.... mmmmm.... heaven. Well if that sounds divine to you, don't go to Iguanas Ranas!!!! After asking the server at front who was taking my to-go order what her opinion was from 3 different options, and her response being the chicken quesadillas are the best, I was totally on-board. Menu said chicken quesadillas with sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo. Order ready in 5 minutes and server gave to me with a friendly goodbye.... I was on my way. Upon arriving home, much to my dismay, I was greeted with a massive pile of melted cheese, somewhere in there was some soggy flour tortilla, a good amount of diced chicken, NO sour cream, NO guacamole, NO pico de gallo.... there was an extremely soupy watered-down creamy salsa verde and a shredded lettuce, tomato, onion salad. I ate one piece of quesadilla and threw the rest away.... the amount of grease that was dripping off my melted cheese/chicken ball with a touch of tortilla made me nervous to fall asleep in fear that if I did fall asleep, I may not make it to bathroom fast enough, and then I'd really be regretting my mistake of ordering from Iguanas Ranas. I hate to say this, but even corporate Chili's has better quesadillas than this place. Dine at your own risk."
