"I really wanted to love this place, but it just didn't turn out to be the amazing place I was expecting based on others' reviews. To start, we were seated in the banquet hall which was a far cry from the cozy atmosphere of the main restaurant area. There was a very nice piano player, thankfully. The main area had a strolling violinist. Service by Luis was excellent, and the wine was delicious. The fried calamari were fine, presentation very nice in a type of nest, and filled with plenty of calamari. The pasta with clams was just like in any other restaurant, on the salty side, but with plenty of clams. I didn't find the veal chop up to par and, unfortunately, it was overcooked. I am grateful they served the chop with the mushroom sauce on the side, as I found it would have been too overwhelming since it was a strong tasting sauce. The Italian cheesecake was not as good as in other places where I've been. In summary, it's OK, nothing to write home about, although I would return just to have another glass of the wine..."
