"I heard that Uncle Tony's was very good so I thought I'd give it a try. When I walked in, I was struck with a the awesome aroma of olive oil, garlic, and yeast - a promising combination in a pizza place.The restaurant seats maybe 60 or so and has a warm homey feel - another good sign .The server showed me to a table and asked if I wanted a glass of wine or a drink from the bar. I don't drink and, after I said no, I never saw her again. At first I thought that it might have been just because it was busy. But, then I noticed that folks that came in after me had their drinks and had had their orders taken already.The food may well be good but I can't vouch for that. I can say that, based on my experience, if you don't drink alcohol, your service will not be great. I waited for 45 minutes without even a glass of water ... then I got up and went somewhere else."

"I ordered online and an extra pizza was added by mistake. I immediately called the restaurant and was told 'take it up with the app, we can 't refund you. ' I had been sent an email from 'John 's of Arthur Ave ', I was directed to their site to place the order, and on the email verification it says call the restaurant for any help. I asked if they would cancel the order and the charge and I will re order, again was told 'not our problem '. When I looked back at the email I realized it came from CHOW NOW there is no way to call them they are California based and you have to email. I emailed support and someone did respond and asked for the case number but nothing else. The food did arrive, but late and cold I guess this was John 's employees way of 'sticking it to the customer '. This is also the last time I will be ordering from them or going to the restaurant. You win John 's thanks for being an A about it. All I wanted was some help in removing an unintended item that was ordered and you decide to deliver cold, late food awesome!"

"Service was very attentive, though there was a lot of upselling by our server which was mildly annoying. winter salad was very tasty, not too much dressing, and nice original combination. Carbonara was a disappointment. VERY salty and way too cheesy (and I love cheese! . Ravioli got good reviews but also a too salty mention. Disappointed with $14 glass of wine that was like miniature. Either get. Smaller glasses or provide a real pour for that much money. Noise level and acoustics is primarily what would keep me from returning. We were there on a Monday night and place was busy but not full. Between the music, the other patrons and the uncovered floors and tables we could barely have a conversation. I would try the pizza for take out but don’t need to return to the restaurant, maybe the pizza is not so salty? Not a bad experience by any means but probably would not return if given a choice."
