"It was fast, cheap and simple, you cant go wrong here. Also they have many choices for whatever mood you are in. They have beef burgers, chicken burger, empanadas, shakes, yogurt. Endless stuff. All less than 6 bucks, unless u get a combo. Fries are cooked amazing. Not too much oil. Crispy and tasty. Amazing potatoes. Also, this one i went to , its 24/7. So you can get food anytime of the day with nice professional people."

"I am extremely disappointed with the quality and quantity of my recent experience at Banana King. I have been a customer for 15 years, but the restaurant's standards have noticeably declined. I was shocked to discover that they have changed the fish sandwich, which used to be served on a pressed Cuban bread with real fried fish. The new version is mostly baked and made with a generic frozen fish, costing about $8. It was overcooked and lacked flavor, making it even worse than McDonald's fish sandwich. The chicken sandwich also tasted artificial and lackluster. Additionally, the green hot sauce has been altered and now tastes cheap compared to the previous version made with fresh ingredients. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to Banana King in the future. However, I must note that the staff were still friendly and accommodating."

"I’ve been on the hunt for good empanadas lately haven’t had a lot of luck… until ordering from here! These empanadas were so so so juicy, hot, and fresh. The shells are cooked to perfection. I mean perfect crisp perfect amount of flake. I got the beef and cheese and the broccoli and cheese. Both of them were spot on. The beef and cheese was incredible and my personal favorite. The pulled beef was so juicy and seasoned just right. My wife got the Colombian beef and potato and the corn and cheese and she raved about the corn and cheese. We also ordered fried plantains. I will agree with other reviews on the rice being sort of bland, however it was still good and I scarfed it down. The empanadas are probably the best I’ve ever had in my life. And to touch on what I think is the best part of all of this… the pricing?! This was incredibly affordable high quality food. To get two empanadas, and a side for $10 is unheard of in just about every restaurant currently. We plan to order from here again, and again… and again. Highly recommend to anyone looking at these reviews wondering if they should eat here."

"I loved going to get my protein shake here until one day I sat and watch the cashier take orders after mine (which I didn’t mind at first because she was the lone person behind the counter besides the cook) however, she proceeded to make those individuals orders before mine and that was unacceptable and unprofessional as well as rude! Take give a timeline I have to be at work at 8:30am I get to my job around 7:45ish so I can have plenty of time to get breakfast, set up my day whatever! I got to Banana King at about 8am and asked for a refund at 8:28! That’s completely unacceptable to make a customer wait and watch you take care of and complete by the way other orders taken after mine! So I stopped going you lost a customer from this experience!"

"Horrible experience. The lady in the front didn’t acknowledge us, and kept talking to the other lady on back, then after 5 minutes asked what we wanted with a nasty attitude. The food sucked, the Cuban sandwich had yellow American cheese and lettuce and tomatoes which is not in the traditional Cuban. The steak sandwich was ground beef and greasy. Waste of time and money!!!! Won’t ever go back. Thanks"

"Truly a gem and a must visit if you’re in the Tampa area. We grabbed a couple pastries, were drooling over the Cuban sandwiches, and had a great customer experience. "The pastelito and empanada were tasty and well-seasoned, but I found the prices for the portions to be unacceptable. Paying four dollars for a Parcha juice that's mostly ice is excessive. I would be willing to pay a bit more if it meant getting more meat in my pastelito. At this point, you might as well increase the price and include more filling, so it doesn't feel like just a greasy tortilla. I plan to return to try something else, as I believe in giving places a second chance, but for now, I'm giving it three stars."
