"About five minutes later, the server approached and asked what toppings we wanted for the misua soup. This raised a red flag; she should have asked this when we placed our order. I also asked her to refill our water, but instead, she just left the pitcher on the table—another red flag. Throughout the experience, I inquired if there was new management, and the server confirmed that there was, mentioning that they had been in business for over a year.
As we approached 8:00 PM, I noticed what seemed to be the owner walk into the kitchen (we were seated right next to it) and express concern about why we still hadn’t received our food. The chef responded in Tagalog, saying they didn't have the necessary ingredients, and waved at me dismissively as if I wouldn’t understand. My partner and I were appalled and decided to leave. I questioned why we were being made to wait if they couldn't make the three dishes we ordered. It’s important to note that bulalo takes over an hour just to soften the meat, so the whole situation felt ridiculous.
This new management is clearly inexperienced, and it felt like a scene straight out of Gordon Ramsay's "Kitchen Nightmares." I was extremely embarrassed, especially since my partner, who is not Filipino, wanted to try authentic Filipino cuisine, and this was certainly not a good representation.
I would never have chosen this place had I known about the management changes and the decline in service. The previous owners had a much better grasp of customer service. My biggest piece of advice is to SAVE YOUR MONEY AND AVOID THIS PLACE."
