"I feel so lucky to live around the 626 area, there are so many delicious Taiwanese restaurants and Cozy Cafe is definitely one of them. It has been 10 years since I visited Cozy Cafe. Restaurant is now under new owner but the dishes are still very Taiwanese the se and the flavors are much better now! During COVID, many restaurant needs to raise the price to survive, but Cozy Cafe kept the same affordable pricing while the portion is still the same!Once you enter the store, you will see the refrigerator with over 30 side dishes, its hard to try them all at once... Its hard to find a Taiwanese Restaurant that sells so many kind of the side dishes. everyday in a very limited amount, if you wan to get them, make sure you call to reserve before they sold out at noon!I ordered Unagi Bento Box, Pork Chop Bento Box, Smoked Duck, Simmered Pork Shank, Fried Roll. Don't need to mention how delicious the unagi pork chop is! The side dishes that comes with the bento, minced pork vegetable is so good to go with the rice! DO NOT MISS the Smoked Duck Simmered Pork Shank, its super popular YUMYUM!!!Living in the Chinese district is really a blessing. There are many delicious Taiwanese restaurants nearby, and Da Guo Da is one of them! It has been 10 years since the last time I went to Da Guo Da. I was still a student at that time. Ten years later, Da Guo Da also changed hands to a new owner, but the taste of the table-style hometown remains the same, even better than before! During the epidemic, various restaurants have raised prices one after another, but the price of bento in a large pot is still affordable, and the dishes are rich and generous. There are nearly 30 different kinds of braised side dishes in the freezer for entry. It is not easy to try all of them overnight! It’s rare to find a store that sells such a complete range of braised side dishes. The boss said that each side dish is made fresh and limited on the day. Sometimes it’s sold out before noon in the morning. If you want to eat, you have to call early to make a reservation. Keep. This time I bought eel bento, pork ribs bento, smoked duck, pork feet, and chicken rolls. Let alone how delicious the main dishes in the bento are, the minced meat and sauerkraut as side dishes are already delicious. Really. It's too much to eat! The boss is super Buddha-minded, eel and ribs are thick and big, so the Buddha-hearted shop hopes to continue to operate continuously. The signature pork heel and smoked duck in the store are not covered either. I heard from the boss that these are very popular appetizers! The smoked duck is really delicious, you can't stop eating slice by slice, and the pig's feet are also delicious!-Fried Roll-Smoked Duck-Unagi Bento Box-Pork Chop Bento Box-Simmered Pork Shank"

"Overall 3.5/5I went to J's mini hot pot around 8 PM on a Wednesday night and I had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated for 6 people. I was surprised how busy the restaurant was at such a late hour during the middle of the week. The parking in front of the restaurant is also quite limited and always packed. There is parking nearby though such as behind the building in the next door plaza or a little further down the road by the bank. The interior of the restaurant was very nice and well renovated. The ceramic pot that the hot pot tins come in is aesthetic, the booths are comfortable and the tables are quite spacious. The food comes out pretty quickly and sometimes through an automatic robot. The menu is quite overwhelming but I choose the Angus beef as my entree. Once you choose your entree, you pick your broth (I chose the beef bone broth but some broths are extra) and you can pick the spice as well. The entree comes with a large bowl of sides such as vegetables, fish cakes, egg, noodles, etc. I did order a side of rice as I prefer rice over noodles. I assumed it was going to be extra but I was not charged. They gave me a large bowl of rice which I appreciated and had to give half to my friend as it was too much for just me.Overall the meat was pretty good, I wouldn't say it is the best quality. I would put it in the hot pot and end up picking out tiny pieces of meat. However, the quality of the vegetables and other sides were good. I'd say the service overall was good. The only issue I had was towards the end my friends and I had $10 gift card each. We were told we werent able to use more than one gift card per party which is not stated on the gift card. It was also confusing because they originally included tip since there were 6 of us in the party but now that we were planning on using the gift card, they removed the tip? I don't understand the logic or the system but we were quite confused and unpleased to not each be able to use all of the gift cards."

"Filipino street food but sold in a brick and mortar store. I haven’t been in this store since they moved to this location from their old location on Roscoe blvd and Woodman Ave.The Storefront facing Roscoe always seems closed whenever I drove by, I drove into the parking lot around the back and saw they were open and their main entrance was in the back.Parking: parking is kinda unusual. The stores are in a U-shape with 2 sets of 2 rows parking space that is not connected. When you drive in to park, if you don’t find an available space, you can’t drive thru to the other row, you’d have to back your car to get to the main parking lot. It was a pain. The hours sign was electronic LED, which seemed normal to my eyes but when I tried to take a picture of the sign, the LED kept flickering and I couldn’t take a complete picture of it. Basically their hours are :Mon-Wed : ClosedThu-Sun: 11:00am to 20:00pmFri-Sat: 11:00am to 22:00pmWhen you go in, you can pick up your choice of container, aluminum for dine-in or styrofoam for take-outs, as you go thru the line, you pick out what you want and place them into your container until you reach the cashier to pay, bring cash, based on what others have stated, they charge extra for credit card and give a 10% discount if you pay by Cash.I would have dined in but I saw that they didn’t have rice and they didn’t have have any signs other than a hand written sign that said 1.85 which I assume is the price per stick, I heard that pre-Covid-19, it was $1.00 per stick. But they do have unique meat like liver, intestines and chicken head, their portions are kinda small (see pictures and judge for yourself) other stores only have chicken or pork on a stick and their portions are bigger, they have a few tables for dining-in, I was really hungry and was afraid I’d have to pay a lot to fill full since they don’t seem to have rice.I came in to check it out and get basic info, so I can’t comment on the servers or service."
