"This place is a wonderful Old School Classic Chinese Restaurant complete with the wonderful 'Family Meal Combos '. I ate in it was busy which is always a good sign for a restaurant that is a little hidden out of the way. There was plenty of parking I didn 't wait for a table. The owner sat me I was served quickly. I ordered the LUNCH SPECIAL CURRY CHICKEN $6.75 which came with choice of Crabragoon (2) or Egg roll, Soup, Rice Entree.. I choose the Crab Ragoons, Egg Drop Soup Fried Rice to go with my Curry Chicken. They use REAL CRAB in their homemade Crab Ragoons the DIPPING SAUCE for them is beyond the classic Sweet Sour or Duck Sauce out of a can.. it 's obviously Homemade I think possibly Pineapple Based. The perfect thickness texture with just enough sweetness. It 's FABULOUS, BRIGHT Worth the trip just for that. The Egg Drop Soup was just what this classic should be..(no peas or carrots) and hot DELICIOUS. The fried rice was done classically and was good. The CURRY CHICKEN was just hot enough for my medium pallet without being too spicy. The portions were decent big enough I took half of it home. Great value. I also had Hot Tea which was good. To top it all off when I asked my server if I could please have a glass of WATER to go not only did she happily bring it to me she took the time to add a slice of fresh lemon. DETAILS!.. IT 'S ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS. I 'd give this place an extra star just for that. AWSOME EXPERIENCE! Thank you."

"my man and I have been coming to osaka Japanese bistro for 14 years, it was our first date. it's by far the number one where we've ever been in our whole life. we like both standings at the Sahara and the east and horizon and the 215 autobahn. they are more of a fine eating sushi place and they do not offer everything they can eat, which is a lobster, but the food quality is excellent. our favourites are the time that everything is lol. the bark teriyaki dinner bengo box we love the lisa lisa roll, we love the 911 roll, the 777 roll and the virgin roll. her spicy garlic dam is the best, her goer dressing on her green salates amazing. they have very good fried rice and appetizers like potstickers, egg rolls, chicken teriyaki spits and bark teriyaki spits, their Japanese lasagna baked roll is our favorites. they have garlic scallops that are very good and they have some pointed and grilled items that they can order and even cooked before them. the Chilean sea bass is amazing and worth the money. there is suppe always on the point, they even had good garlic whispering and other mosquitoes available, and if they never had it, they must try the jalapeno yellow **** sashimi. they also have a loyalty card program that they can sign up and add score to a running tab so they can deposit it as perk. all sushi subs are very friendly and chef john is amazing that he has been there as long as we go there at the horizont ridge please say hi, chef john, he is the best. vegetarian options: the chefs can make everything vegetarian, though sweet to add to the rolls that they even fried twee for them and they will even fried jalapenos. can add avocado. miso suppe and even spring rolls. kid friendliness: I would say kids have fun trying to eat with chipsticks and would enjoy this place. parking: there are many parking spaces. Accessibility: yes, it is well accessible and they have beautiful table areas that they can place a wheelchair. thetary restrictions: I would say that you know your own nutrition and would talk to your waiter that I never had a problem and I was on many diets."

"Chinese food. You've seen one, you've seen em all, right? I'm let's be honest, at best there's slight variances in taste or texture but for the most part, they're cousins, if not siblings of each others. Ewa hosts two main Chinese spots and this one has the luck of being the closest to me in proximity. The dishes are good. Nothing to over the moon. Pretty much in line. We always get the gaugee min, and that never fails. Deep fried pillows of pork laid across a bed of gravy soaked noodles. I'm always game for it. The egg fooyung is respectable. I do feel like this dish is the one that convinces me that this establishment is better than the others and Taste of Hong Kong sits square in the middle of the pack. Kayuk or the Pot Roast Pork is the same vibrant reddish pink you can count on everywhere else being. And the sweet sour chicken... well, let's just say I wouldn't expect to win a blind taste test. Again... I will say that there isn't much to set this place apart from literally 90% of the other Chinese food places across Hawaii. Even the look of the place falls in line with what's normally expected of a standard Chinese restaurant (between 7-12 large round tables. A couple of four seaters for the couples and small families. You know the look). But here's the reason I wanted to write a review for this place and the reason that they always will get my money when I'm just not sure what I want and need (and I shouldn't be the only one like this): On Christmas Day, when NOT EVEN McDonald's is open, you can always count on that regular, run of the mill, nothing special Chinese joint to be there with their pretty good food to save your holiday! So I wanted to write this to say thank you. To the Taste of Hong Kong (and all its kin that operate everyday regardless of how special or mundane it is), you have been there more times than I can remember, you're so steady that you're virtually pencilled in on the holidays for us. So thank you for being amazing when we need you. The Smiths appreciate you. You're part of our family"
