"UPDATE: 3.5 stars I noticed they now list the ingredients of their curry's on their online menu. 3 stars. This review is strictly for their MASSAMAN. My daughter loves their fried rice so we often order it for her to go. It is good, but very oily for my taste. They will make it with less oil when I ask. I decided to try their Massaman curry today. They are not a Thai restaurant but have several Thai dishes on their menu. Massaman curry is pretty simple, meat, potatoes, and typically onions, maybe carrots and cashews. The cashews may just be something most restaurants around me do since I have seen peanuts as well. There aren’t any descriptions on their menu so I thought that it would be prepared like other Thai restaurants prepare it. It was not. First the sauce was thin and oily. I’m not sure if it had any coconut milk in it or not. There were no potatoes or cashews but loads of green beans, broccoli, green peppers (which I do not like and would have excluded) red peppers, BASIL and some onions. Pretty much everything I like about Massaman curry as a dish was absent. (I like the potatoes, the thick coconut creaminess of the curry sauce and the crunchy nuts). The flavor was pretty good, but I couldn’t really taste the Massaman. The basil won out. If you like the curry Massaman, but don’t like the way it is typically served then you would probably like this. The chicken was good as were the veggies, it just wasn’t what I wanted at all, and would have chosen something else if a description had been listed. I just wanted to give others a heads up if they were thinking about ordering it."

"My family has been dining at this restaurant for years, and it’s one of our absolute favorites. During the COVID pandemic, they took great care to ensure the safety of their customers and their food, which is why we frequently opted for take-out. The portion sizes are generous; we typically get two meals out of each dish. We also take advantage of the 20% off gift card days, allowing us to use the vouchers throughout the year, making it quite budget-friendly. The staff has always been friendly and professional, and the food is consistently delicious."

"Came here to pick up a Door Dash order and everything was packaged nicely and we got exactly what we ordered. Our dinner included the pork boneless spare ribs and the jalapeno pork. This place made the food extra spicy as we requested and the meal was insanely delicious and flavorful. The quality of this food is incredible and is more than I could have hoped for. I needed to contribute and review this place because they deserve a better rating than they have. If you're looking for amazing flavor and genuine spice, look no further than Si Fu Ginger. I'll make this my regular eat"

"I visited the restaurant yesterday with my family, and I must say, the food was delightful. I really appreciated the service and the pleasant atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and our server was cheerful, which made our experience even more enjoyable."

"My family and I had dinner there. The nearly all of the food was dry or mushy and looked like it was leftover from lunch. No drink refills were offered. The food tasted “off” and unlike other Chinese restaurants. It was honestly the worst Chinese food experience I’ve had. I’m sorry I took my family from out-of-town there. $65 down the toilet. I have never left a bad review about anything, but the food was so bad that I felt like I needed to leave a review."

"Should have known from the weird curtain blocking the kitchen, this wasn't going to be good. Egg foo young was mushy and undercooked. Boneless spare ribs were nothing short of a bowl full of grizzle and fat tossed in bbq sauce. Unfortunately, I couldn't even force myself to eat this even though I just finished a 9 hr shift and was starving; Had to throw out $30 in food. Will not be ordering from here again. Service: Take out"

"Solid Chinese. Tonight in China Town for dinner. A delay in sitting was the main disadvantage. Most of them were great. Started with egg drop soup. It was standard good egg drops, and served with a very generous part of the fried Wintons. One of the most important things I'm looking for in a Chinese restaurant is the quality of sweet and acidic sauce. There was a bottle on the table, and the sauce was the pinkest in the color of all the S-ns I've ever seen. It was very sweet, overly fast, but somehow weak in taste at the same time. The taste seemed like watermelon was its base. It was different than anyone I ever had, and yet I couldn't help hug his uniqueness. For the main course, chicken lo mine. Absolutely delicious in any way: chicken, vegetables, noodles, taste, texture. Top Notch. Service was solid. Waitress was a grandmother and was efficient, timely, friendly and detailed. China Town in Bedford was a great find. If you are in 183 area near Central, do yourself a favor and stop by."

"I was skeptical right away when I opened the Pad Thai and found a lemon instead of a lime. It was clear to me that the authenticity of the dishes was lacking, and the overwhelming sweetness was off-putting. Then I tried the Crab Rangoon, and to my surprise, I could barely taste any crab; the cream cheese filling was overly sweet, almost like it was made for dessert rather than an appetizer. A reminder to the chef: Crab Rangoon should not contain sugar in the filling! The dipping sauce that accompanied the Rangoon was an excessively sweet, corn syrup-based concoction. It would be refreshing to see a more authentic dipping sauce that reflects modern Asian cuisine rather than something so overwhelmingly sweet. At this point, I'm struggling to find the right words to describe the disappointing meal I just had. If I wanted dessert, I would head to a pastry shop. I expect more from an Asian restaurant; please consider reducing the sugar and exploring other savory ingredients to enhance your dishes. Lastly, I ordered the Chicken Rice Soup, and I have to express my disappointment yet again. This was not soup as I know it. It was essentially a cup of rice swimming in half a cup of broth. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to rename it “Soggy Rice Gruel.” Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience."

"This restaurant was very close to my hotel where I was staying in New York, and thus I had taken parcels from this place couple of times. The restaurant is kind of no-nonsense, with a very cheap price tags. At $6 one can get four pieces of crispy fried chickens with good amount of fried rice. Service time is really quick, even during the peak time too. Food is very average, to say the truth. If you like spicy food, you may find this place suitable to your needs.<br/ <br/ Overall, a nice budget place for some quick bites."

"My family loves China Cafe! The food is always amazing and the staff is great! We always order, either egg rolls and egg drop soup for each of us or the pu pu tray for 2, the combo fried rice (made extra spicy) and sesame chicken. The portions are great for sharing, they definitely don't skimp on anything here. Its a newer location, but Bing (the owner) did a great job making sure the taste quality of the food hasn't changed at all."

"I've wanted to here since I was a kid. And I wasn't disappointed. The decor is reminiscent of the twenties. It's a bit over the top in decor but that's what I hoped for and was not disappointed. The staff was very good. The hostess was kind enough to bring us upstairs to see the glass bear. I think it would be fun to sit up there and drink some cocktails. The food was very good. I had the mushroom stuffed crepe to start, followed by the chicken Kiev, which was fairly good. A bit salty but enjoyable. I had the Prince Vladymir tea, which was excellent. Citrus, vanilla and spices oh my! Topped off with some cherries. I definitely recommend if you're looking for a bit of romance and nostalgia."

"There was no chicken in sight! I have been coming here for at least ten years, and the food quality has been on a downward spiral. Today's dish was chicken and soup."

"This restaurant is pretty good, with tasty food! Sometimes the wait for food can be a bit long due to busy times or lack of staff, but I appreciate that they offer vegan options. The vegan burger has a great texture and consistency. I enjoy the different dishes they can make with their sides and various vegetable combinations and sauces. I tried ordering from them on DoorDash, but it's more affordable to dine in person as DoorDash typically charges higher prices."

"Hewa is the restaurant where my love for sushi first began. It offers a great value with a diverse menu and has become a regular dinner choice for me. However, after trying sushi from other restaurants, I have to admit that it is not the best. Don't get me wrong, it is still really good and I sometimes crave a meal from Hewa, but its strength lies more in its variety than its quality. That being said, Hewa falls in the middle range, outshining lower-tier options but being surpassed by higher-end sushi places. I recommend Hewa for everyday sushi or Chinese food – it always delivers a satisfying meal."
