"We were in town and thought it would be fun to visit and perhaps talk with some local boaters sailors and have a nice dinner. Disappointing on all fronts. We did call ahead to ask about reciprocity. The office person was very nice and just asked that we bring our yacht club cards and vaccination cards to eat at the restaurant. We get to the club, unclear of where to park and go in to ask. The lady at the check in desk was very confused. She never heard of others visiting or what reciprocal yacht club guests were. When we asked about parking, she just said don 't park in the middle, you need to waves and points you need to park way far away . This should 've been our clue to just leave, but I didn 't want to judge a club on one person greeting at the door. We went back out and asked a guy who was loading stuff into his van. He was extremely helpful and pointed to where we could park paying a dollar per hour at the SecureP kiosk. Easy! We return to the check in person. Show her our vaccine cards, yacht club cards and she let us in. We walk around downstairs, there were people playing games on the lawn. Cool. Lively bunch. There are a few tables, but didn 't look like food available. Walking upstairs, we find a very nice restaurant area. They start to seat us, and I noticed there is a table empty by the railing. I ask if we can sit there. The young lady said sure, let me just clean it for you. So far so good. The View is lovely and we 're taking it in and enjoying looking at all the boats. The restaurant was busy. Great to see as I 'm sure they probably experienced challenges during Covid like all restaurants and clubs. One of the young ladies comes by to give us menus. A few minutes later she asks what we want to drink. I had the Mac nut martini, my daughter had a rum punch and husband had a rum and coke. Drinks arrive. They 're tasty ! Still enjoying the view, noticing other tables being seated, orders taken, their food arriving. Finally a lady comes by and says can I take these menus. We replied with we 'd like to order something. She apologized and said oh, there was confusion on the stations. Ok, we understand. maybe new staff. We ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich, a blackened ahi tuna on charcoal bun with a salad and a burger with fries. My drink is 1 2 gone, when I realize there is a bug at the bottom. I first thought. perhaps it 's a Mac nut. No it was a bug floating hanging out on the bottom of the martini glass. I put my finger in, pull it out and yes. I drank the rest. This at least made us laugh. We waited for our food. Drinks empty, but we just smiled and appreciated our home yacht club even more ! I think the chef delivered the food. Very nice guy. We asked if we could also get some silverware they never put any after they cleaned the table . My blackened ahi tuna sandwich tasted good, the salad was fresh and the lemon dressing was excellent. My daughters Buffalo chicken was not The chicken was slimy and she thought raw. It wasn 't spicy, and she thought maybe more teriyaki. The meat wasn 't pink or ****, so we thought not raw, but she didn 't eat it as she said it just didn 't taste good. My husband said his burger was fine. The waitress came by when we were just about done, we asked if she could bring our check we weren 't sure how long it would take for someone to come back, so we wanted to ask while we could . It would 've been nice to have another cocktail. My daughter liked the rum punch. I would 've liked a bug free Mac nut martini. We briefly thought about going to sit at the bar, but at this point we were so disappointed we didn 't think anything could salvage the wrecked experience. The server did bring our check and removed the three drinks saying she was sorry we had to wait so long. We thanked her and still left a 20% tip we know tips are peoples livelihood . We didn 't ask if we could exchange burgees. Would 've loved to offer ours in return for theirs, but not a great memory, so we just kept"
