"Rapidly becoming a favorite go-to restaurant in the Ames area. Two recent visits, meat cooked exactly as ordered, seasoned tastefully, and the servers delivering top notch service. On the visit a few weeks ago, we thought the great service was an anomaly because the waitress was friendly and cheerful with the perfect amount of small talk to be both personable and professional. I wish I could remember the servers name from that visit to give her due credit. Figured it was a 1 off as the all around perfect dining experience we had is such a rarity anymore. And then tonight, Coty did just as awesome. The little things like noticing what we needed without asking as well as delivering timely and perfectly on any requests. Both visits were on a date night with my wife and both visits made for a great evening. We will definitely be back!"

"Horrible experience! I have eaten at other Texas Roadhouse and the steak is good. I like my bone Ribeye and find that the hand cut is a treat but eating the hand cut steak at this location has been horrible. Twice I gone to the location and I had the samey bad experience with their hand cut bone in Rib-eye. I brought it to the server attention the first time and they replace my rib eye. I receive a discount and was told to give another chance. The second time I had brought my parents to celebrate and had chosen our bone in rib eye in the front. It’s took 40 min to receive our food. Finally receiving our food and all of our food was way under cook. We ordered medium and medium well. The waitress didn’t come back to check on us or ask if our steak was good. By this time I reach out to a manager. The manager ask if we were asked on the quality of our steak. We mention no and the server mention that he ask us. Lying and making it seem we were at fault. I had better experience in different location with Texas Roadhouse. I don’t recommend this place. They sure do need adjustments. After paying our bill and leaving a staff in the back spoke out loud we know how to cook our steaks and don’t need anyone telling us. Making it seem like I am wrong. So if you want to go to this location be prepared."

"35 minute wait despite Priority Seating. I asked about our reservations 20 minutes into our wait was told that we were “at the top of the list”. We weren’t called for another 15 minutes even then our pager didn’t work. My medium steak was dry, how does that happen? It wasn’t juicy at all. Some lower calorie options would be very welcome, vegetable choices are limited."

"It's Texas road house, if your thinking if going you are already going to have a good time. Great atmosphere, great food and great service. I got the ribeye medium rare and it was true to order, also the ceaser salad was surprisingly good. Not surewhat's up with that but it stuck out to me. Portions are hearty and a real value. I also enjoy how loud it is in there as Ibring my kid and she likes to talk alittle louder than normal room volume and it just, works. I think you will like this place."

"We were a party of 12 with reservations. We still waited 35 minutes for our tables. Then we were packed in like sardines. It was hot, chaotic and slow. The pulled pork I ordered was edible but nothing special. The steak fries that everyone at my table ordered were literally so salty that in order to eat the few I did eat I wiped each one with a napkin. My brother's steak was apparently overcooked and tough. I never got one of my sides despite requesting it twice. It was not some place I would care to ever eat at again. Sad thing is it used to be a good place to get a steak and potato meal. Pricey as heck too."

"The food was decent, but the Caesar dressing lacked flavor. Unfortunately, our server was quite rude. When my husband inquired about the beer prices, she responded with a lot of attitude and seemed unaware of the cost of the beer he was interested in. It’s part of her role to have knowledge about the menu and drinks. Every time someone requested something, she gave a dirty look. We ended up paying on the table machine long before we finished our meal. I didn't have enough cash for her tip, so my husband put part of it on the card while I planned to leave the rest in cash. He thinks she assumed that was her only tip since we didn’t see her again after that. I had to ask twice for a drink, and my husband had to reach out to other servers for dressing and other items. Ultimately, it seemed like the tip we left on the card turned out to be her only compensation."

"To start, I ordered a frozen margarita with an extra kicker, and it was fantastic—not overly flavored or boozy, just a great balance. For an appetizer, I went with the fried pickles, and they were spot on. For my main course, I had the chicken fried chicken along with a loaded potato soup, and both were delicious. The soup was definitely a great choice. When the chicken fried chicken arrived, I was really impressed. The batter coating was fantastic, but the gravy was simply perfection. The mashed potatoes paired with brown gravy made for an excellent side. I also sampled my girlfriend's medium-well sirloin, which was cooked perfectly—it had just the right amount of pink, showing the chef really knows how to prepare a steak. Our waitress, Tanya, provided outstanding service. She checked in on us shortly after we sat down but didn't hover, instead keeping an eye on our table and stepping in whenever we needed something. Thanks to the excellent service and a full stomach, I can confidently say this place is a great success!"

"I am not the biggest steak fan but I do know what a good steak taste like when I come across one. Texas Roadhouse has always been my go to place when I want a decent steak at a reasonable price. And to be honest the quality of Texas Roadhouse steak definitely beat some high end steakhouse and cost 1/3 or 1/2 of the price of a high end steakhouse. So for anyone who never had Texas Roadhouse before I highly recommend. This location is usually my go to location but I was a bit disappointed at the steak today. I felt it was a bit under seasoned. I came with my husband and 2 other friends and they all felt the same. Usually their steak is on point but today was a bit under seasoned. I will be back next time to give it another try hopefully it will be back to normal otherwise I will have to go to the other locations. Their Caesar salad is by far one of my favorite place to enjoy a Caesar salad and their mango margarita it’s delish. It even comes with a few pieces of fresh mangoes. I usually save the mangoes till after the meal and I would eat the mangoes as my “dessert”"
