"We were excited to go out on Saturday with the additional loosening of Covid restrictions, now allowing for 50% capacity. Despite only two tables being taken out of the 20 or so the restaurant has, the one-person host/server/busboy team tried to seat us next to a table that was engaging in friendly conversation with the live entertainment. I requested to sit at a far wall for social distancing. Due to the one-person team, we waited about 15 minutes to be asked for drinks, and it was frustrating to see another table that arrived later than us receive their drinks before us. The wine spritzer I ordered came in a regular chardonnay glass. The food was delicious, but as more guests arrived, they were placed in our section of the restaurant without adhering to distancing rules. By the time we left, 55% of the tables were occupied and it seemed like they would keep accepting more guests without any regard for proper spacing. While I understand that businesses are struggling, especially in our conservative state that has been managing Covid well compared to places like Texas and Florida, where cases have been rising, it is important to proceed cautiously to prevent future lockdowns or restrictions."
