"The food was very good as well as the service. There was many gluten free options and all of them are marked on the menu. I had the Smokey Tomato Mac 'N Cheese appetizer which I highly recommend (can also be ordered as an entree), the wild Alaskan cod fish chips, and for dessert the chocolate-Kahlua silk pie. I left very full and very satisfied! Also dogs are allowed on the patio and they even gave my dogs a water bowl.The food was very good as well as the service. "I haven't been to Max's in years but had to take someone to the airport and thought this would be a perfect place. Upon entering, I noticed there weren't that many people in there on a Sunday around noon there was an unpleasant smell to the restaurant. When we sat down at our table, the menus were sticky. I can't stand that. It makes me feel like the place is unclean. I ordered a 1/2 pastrami sandwich and green salad. The salad was overdressed and had so many different things in it, I didn't really like it. The sandwich is what I always remember about Max's; delicious pastrami w/lots of flavor. This was pretty bland. My guests ordered sandwiches as well and it was OK, nothing special. Very disappointing."

"We went for my Birthday dinner. We made reservations and disappointed that they sat us by the patio door. A little chilly when the door opened/closed. Manager and hostess gave us nice lip service will do what we can about moving you (although their facial expressions didn't looked like they cared). I rated the restaurant as outstanding because of our server--Sharon. She made up for the disappointment, she was personable and attentive. The food and drinks were delicious. What began as a disappointment--ended in a nice birthday celebration. Thank you Sharon for being there!"

"it was my first time here, we had Thanksgiving reservations. we each ordered the traditional thanksgiving plate, including my 10 year old son, who got the children's portion, and everything was delicious !! I also enjoyed a caramel apple martini which was delicious as well !! the view of the creek was a nice setting to eat beside too. I would definitely go back !!"

"I was in town with friends for the Wineglass marathon and we were searching for a pasta dinner the night before the race. The reviews are mostly good with a a couple bad ones sprinkled in that we were concerned about but since this is the only Italian restaurant within at least 30 minutes, we took the gamble. The food was disappointing to say the least. The homemade pasta was angel hair from a box and the chicken parm was so thick/tough (not pounded out at all) that it was inedible. The prices were also extremely high given the quality of food (we were actually up charged for said homemade pasta even though we were told it came with the entrees). I feel bad writing this but it was such a disappointing meal when we needed something to fuel us for the next day. Take out pizza would have been a better option."

"Driving from Austin I needed to pick up a few things from my mom who was driving up from Houston. We decided La Grange would be a great spot right off 71 to cut our drive in half.With everything going on I pushed to try something local and Bistro 108 didn't disappoint. We were greeted immediately and the service throughout our lunch was great. The soup of the day and both pasta entrees exceeded expectations. If you are ever are in the area please stop in and give this venue a try. Look forward to stopping in again on one of our drives to Houston. Cheers"

"Great service from either the bar where they are easy and friendly to talk to or the servers where they seem to go above and beyond each time im there. Great place for family and friends to hangout. "eating was really very pleasant, but the service was not great. really it was just creepy. the man who waited for us did not seem to resort to the haste that we did not want him hanging up and talking small, and he shared these random anecdotes. there was a waitress that seemed to be on the top of her tables, but she ran so crazy that it was extremely distracting. (there were only about four tables and two servers. If you look at her, you would have thought it was a whole house. the decor is so mixed and does not seem to fit the delicious food. when I go back, it will be for the delivery."

"I just had the worst lunch experience ever. I ordered the nachos, and my plate was so soggy that about 80% of the chips were inedible. The beans and toppings were unappetizing, and the cheese wasn’t even melted. My boyfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which was disappointingly small—more like a happy hour portion—but we were charged full price. He also requested seasoned fries but ended up with regular fries, and there were hardly any on the plate. This is absolutely unacceptable for the price we paid. I won't be returning anytime soon!"

"Took a co-work for lunch for her last day and the service was horrible. She didn't introduce her self, was very unsure of her surroundings, had a difficult time understanding how we wanted to pay part cc's and part cash, didn't clear the table so all our dishes where stacking up. Didn't refill waters/drinks unless we flagged her down. Just terrible. We pre-ordered our pizza knowing we only had a certain amount of time and we still had to wait a half hour for it after we got there. We called in the order at 1150ish; arrived at 12:10 and didn't get our pizza until 12:40. All in all totally unacceptable. I will NEVER return or recommend them. I organize luncheons and will no longer order from there."

"The bread and herb dip was good. The main entrees were sad, however. We got the lamb shank, which was not nearly as tender as it should have been, and it was TASTELESS. How can Mediterranean food be tasteless?! The sauce was one note, maybe paprika? Bland and uninteresting. Really a disappointment. The shrimp skewers were better but only because some white sauce was drizzled on it, saving it from being one note flavored. The veg was kale sauteed with only garlic again one note. Like, you have all those herbs and spices in Med cooking and you didn't use them?! Even the mashed potatoes were unflavored! Which would have been fine if the sauce was decent, but it sure wasn't! Dessert was pistachio panna cotta and tiramisu. The panna cotta was ok, but the only pistachio was sprinkled on top, not flavoring the pudding. The tiramisu was excellent. Considering that the bread and desserts were almost certainly not made in house, this restaurant isn't very good. Especially for $130 for two people!! ????"

"quality food and beverage is a surprise of the minute they are greeted when they enter. it has an unpretentious domestic atmosphere together with an unexpected warmth. the biggest surprise is however eating and its taste. the taste of home cooked French can transport their spirit to much more expensive restaurant. we had dinner on the price fixed menu that started with a more than plentiful and very fresh sideboard of appetizers, including filled grape leaves, filled paprika, berries, cheese and tomaten. we then moved to a lamb frame for me and fish cake for my wife. both dishes were tender and flavored according to our taste. our meal ended with cappuccino and chocolate espresso and a chocolate amore. all for two under $75.00 it's great."

"I met up with my friend at Elmos, her favorite restaurant. The decor was lovely, but we were let down by the food. We both ordered the Elmo burgers, with my friend requesting hers medium rare and mine medium well. Unfortunately, they both came back well done. Despite the lack of other customers in the restaurant, the chef still got our orders wrong. The waitress offered to have the chef remake my friend's order, but I declined as it would disrupt our meal timings. There was no excuse for this mistake to have happened."

"Worst restaurant I have ever been to. We were a table of 5 and waited for 2 hours for our food. I ordered the pork platter with a salad and fries, and was the only one who didn 't get my plate. I asked the waitress where my food was, and told her what I ordered. She said no that 's not what you ordered, you got fries and mac and cheese. I was so shocked and decided to not argue so I told her not to worry about it (cause I was so tired and hungry at this point), but when we got the ticket the pork platter actually WAS on our order, and what she claimed I had ordered had been added at the bottom. If you want decent service and to actually get the food you ordered this is not the place to go. I would give it 0 stars if I could."
