"my wife and I had an early dinner here when a Saturday event ended early. we had missed it at lunch, so we started with her beech. crispy thick potato chips with beer cheese meat and gravy that are definitely worth a try. she had an Irish mule and I went for the rob burns, both were excellent. she enjoyed her enough that she had a second with her fishing and chips. the fish/chips were good and the accompanying claw was excellent. I had my first brain cake. in principle a meat cake with potatoes as top crust. good taste and very filling. as we missed the lunch we splashed and shared a brotpudding that was one of their favorite desserts. it was more like a combed french toast than a conventional brotpudding and it was the perfect finish. krispy and sweet on the outside with a very nice taste and texture inside. we stopped here a few times before the pub farewell and we were never disappointed. we will be back and I can recommend this place without reservation for casual fun and good eating."

"Wow, food, drinks, desserts, and a fancy old pub/bar feel. This was the first time that I had gone to Golden Valley, but it will not be my last. I was super impressed with the small home feel of the food, incredibly well portioned, delicious and filling. The service was prompt, light and informational, and most of all?friendly. Even with a packed house of clients?the service teamwas so good. Besides for the food, the beer selection on tap was amazing. They offer everything, Porter, Stouts, IPA, ciders, and my favorite now?a good sour. They offer a really fun presentation of beers to taste by the looks of it, 10 differentstyles. That may be the way to go to find the perfect flavor for your palette. We will be back. Order more of the specials, anddefinitely try to leave more room for that incredible Oreo cookie dessert they had."

"The food was good, they were short staffed the day we went so, it was a lil chaotic but it still was cool. It was very cold in the inside where we sat, so that kinda took away from us having an enjoyable experience. We did ask for the air to be turned up but it didn't happen though. The drinks were not good. You couldn't taste the alcohol, even my husband's drink on the rocks was weak and we didn't get the mixed drinks the way they were described on the menu. They changed bar tenders so maybe the guy was making them correct, we wouldn't know, by the time the waitress took our orders, he was gone and we had the lady bar tender and she didn't do good. It was our first time, so we are willing to give it another try."

"Very difficult to get to, no clue this was a dining area in a hotel, not an actual restaurant. Hours say open until 11, kitchen closes at 8. Staff is terrible , you can’t tell whether this is just the hotel bar or you can order food. We had to get up and ask someone to come serve us. The server had no idea what was on the menu, didn’t bring us silverware, brought our appetizers with our dinner and then when we got our dinner , the steak went cold because we didn’t have a knife for 25 minutes. ZERO customer service. Checked on us once the other times we were attended to we had to flag the server down. Expensive food and worse customer service than a fast food joint."

"We were there for the Easter Brunch event. The waitstaff was awesome (shout out to Tasha! , and the food was delicious. The bar service was awesome--a build your own **** Mary Bar and a Mimosa bar to boot. The only downside was the coffee...it was so thick it was like mud, and this is coming from a former manager for a large coffee shop chain; I like black coffee! But this was just undrinkable. I'd also liked to have seen more for the kids part of the event...it was pretty laid back. Overall, I would definitely attend next year, the value, food, service, and waitstaff were wonderful. But, if you're looking for huge activities to do with your kids on a holiday...maybe plan an extra visit after brunch!"

"We had a delightful experience dining al fresco on a lovely day. Our server, Morgan, was pleasant and attentive. We decided to try the Boxty Tots, a tasty potato dish, and enjoyed it. The menu had great options for Father's Day, which the men in our group appreciated. The ladies in our party opted for a delicious salad."

"We have been dining at Barley's for years. In fact, my wife and I first met at the Barley's on 119th. On this occasion we were very disappointed. We were seated to the south side of the restaurant. It was warm. Worse thing though was almost every TV was tuned to an ultimate fighting contest and these two guys were beating the hell out of each other. It definitely wasn't anything my wife would every want to watch and it wasn't what I wanted to see while eating dinner. We ended up paying for our drinks and moved to the bar area where it was much cooler. Finished our drinks and left to go eat at The Other Place where we could stand to watch what was on TV. Management should definitely have never allowed the TVs to be on a channel with that going on, especially in a restaurant that normally has a lot of families and children there. We hope the AC is doing better next time we visit."

"In my opinion, they serve the best medium-heavy wings. Almost all the food we've tried is at least good. However, prices have increased across the board in the last ten years. The menu is extensive and packed with various options. We do miss the ambiance of Dublin, but thankfully, the wings, fries, and ribs are still consistently delicious choices. During this visit, we encountered a couple of issues in the kitchen. The waitress noticed that our fries were overseasoned when she brought them to our table, and thankfully she mentioned it and brought us a fresh order. The nachos we had initially were terrible; the chips were old and stale. The waitress was very accommodating and took them back, and the next batch was fantastic. We also received two wings that were overcooked and very limp, but overall, the wings were great. Had our waitress not been as friendly and attentive as she was, we might not have considered returning to this place. We ultimately give it four stars due to the tasty food, pleasant atmosphere, and the friendly service. Otherwise, we would have rated it only two stars."

"The building is lovely, but we were not near any windows and so it feels a bit like you're sitting in a cave. The waitress was nice, but never came back to fill our drinks or ask if we needed anything else until she asked about dessert. We both ordered grilled cheese with tomato sandwiches and they were not hot, the cheese was not melted. It was like they put two pieces of toast on cheese, added tomatoe and cut it in half. French fries were good, although not hot. It took quite a while to get our food and, frankly I didn't think they were all that busy. I will go back to give it another chance, but was disappointed after all I had heard."

"August 2022: I've been here a few times before and have tried the loaded tots, which are delicious. Never had potato tots with corned beef on them. You gotta try them to know. This time, I opted to go with the Irish egg rolls, a unique concoction with corned beef and cheese in it. Very tasty. Pros: The bar and seating area is very spacious. They have outdoor seating as well. Friendly staff who served our large group very well. Parking is plentiful. Food is very good. See my explanation for the Irish rolls. Between the loaded tots and the Irish rolls, people cannot go wrong. Variety of drink offerings. Cons: Did not have enough IPAs on there drink menu. I was looking for Great Lakes Brewery Chill Wave and they did not have it. Conclusion: I shall return."

"This place offers a variety of fun activities! You can enjoy live music, play on two sand volleyball courts, try your hand at axe throwing, and even hammer nails into a tree stump. There are also two sets of cornhole boards available. While the service can sometimes be a bit slow, it's not a major issue. Overall, it's a great spot for a fun night out!"

"Extremely disappointing experience. I have ordered here twice from Grubhub. The first time I ordered here, I walked up to the counter and they explained that they didn't receive the order because their systems were down. They did not offer an apology or provide an opportunity to order on the spot.I placed an order today for 1/2 roasted chicken, which as per the app REQUIRES a side. I got an email a few minutes later that stated that there was a price adjustment and $6 was added to my order for a side salad.I showed up to the restaurant 5 minutes later politely explaining the situation. I was met with a very rude employee who didn't even apologize and put the blame on me. I politely requested the side salad to be canceled as I excepted a salad to be free with a $21-22 entree as it was REQUIRED on the app. She stated that the order was already put through and that nothing could be done about it.Furthermore, I politely requested the worker to look into this issue so it does not happen to anyone else and she basically explained to me how the restaurant has no control over the menu items on the application and how it was my fault. At the very least I was looking for an apology.I am NOT happy with a bait and switch at a restaurant of this caliber."
