"As I entered, I didn't see any host or anyone to greet me, so I made my way to the bar area. I politely asked some women to let me through, but they just stared at me as if they didn't hear me. I repeated my request and asked them to move their chairs so I could pass. Before I knew it, a woman was standing too close behind me for my comfort. Then another shorter woman approached and literally pressed against me with her chest, pushing me and insisting that I needed to leave without any explanation! I was in shock! She kept saying, "You need to go! You have to go!" I felt the pressure from her, and it made me feel very unsafe, as if I were being bullied by the manager or a bouncer.
I expressed my discomfort and left in disbelief. I think I arrived a little too late when everyone had already had too much to drink. As I walked away, I couldn't help but think that it was the only bar open and that it was all women, but what a disappointment this experience was. I will never return there. I felt discriminated against, disrespected, and completely let down. And to top it off, I never got to enjoy my Russian mule! But I certainly felt like I was kicked out like one!"
