"I was trying to get to another Mexican restaurant via Yelp, following directions on my iPad, when it ran out of battery. I cruised down the road a bit more, knowing that it was somewhere along the way, but it was late and time was running out and I didn 't see it. That 's when I noticed this taqueria and decided to just try it instead. Glad I did... Now what I really was looking for was a good Chile Relleno, but they only serve those on Fridays as a special. Still, this place had such an authentic vibe that I decided to see what else I might want. I chose the Tosatadas Chalupas , and with ground beef plus cheese it had the works on it sour cream too, plus actual avocado slices, not some runny imitation of guacamole you normally get. I ordered it to go . I don 't know why there would be two names for the same dish, but then again I 'm visiting from Minnesota, and we don 't understand all the nuances of real Mexican food. All I know about chalupas I learned from Taco Bell. Pretty sad, that, right? So the order came and filled the rather large plastic bag, and I brought it back to the hotel. Then I found out why the order had filled up the bag. There were *two* styrofoam containers inside the order was too big to fit in just one! There were a total of three big tostadas piled high with lettuce, tomatoes, beans, ground beef, avocado, and sour cream... And it was delicious! I had to add some salsa to the mix, but that 's about the only slight criticism I have. Check them out. As for me, I might be returning Friday for that Chile Relleno..."

"The Chips and queso are the best as a quick grab snack during a busy day or end of day for work so i absolutely recommend them. We wanted to go after work with our kids as a special treat since they really enjoy the chips and queso, but we called Dec. 30th around 12:50-1pm to make sure that getting just the queso was fine or if we'd be charged for chips and salsa too since most places will charge you if you only get drinks, but we were buying queso so it wasn't like we were going in getting a drink and dipping out, but to be sure we asked to verify three times before going so we weren't being disrespectful about it especially since it also didn't state it on the menu anywhere either. We made sure we also weren't going in during super busy hours like dinner rush. We got told it was fine and no extra charge if we bought the queso. We went on the 30th, no issues all was well- the next day we visited was Jan. 2nd and that time we bought a large and small queso and drinks, again no issues nothing was said and then our kids asked if we could go again today after work so of course we did and then today having the same server as the first initial day, we got told it wasn't allowed and we couldn't keep coming unless we bought full meals for at least half the table (which would have been about $50-70 and not why we went in for the first place). We let them know we didn't know that, in fact we called to make sure that it was fine for this reason to avoid it being an awkward situation so we were then told the hostesses don't know anything and unless we're told by the servers or managers specifically, we can't go based off what we were told on the phone. It really was just an awkward encounter with not much transparency with this situation or we'd have not gone in at all and rather had ordered over the phone since all we really wanted was chips and queso. I'd just suggest the menu have some sort of statement about half the table needing meals for chips and queso to be served as well as only having the servers/managers answer the phone if the hostesses aren't equipped to answer simple questions over the phone. We probably won't be going back in since we can't get the queso unless we buy a whole meal for half our family, but possibly order over the phone for pickup from now on to avoid it being awkward or go to Pittsburgh instead. Really though, I wish we were just told this when we asked or by the server the first day instead of being served as if it was okay. She was nice and friendly though and a good server otherwise."
