"I went with a group for a birthday. It was the worst service any of us had ever experienced. Our waiter only took a couple of drink orders and then left for more than 20 minutes before we checked in to take the rest of the table order. For the food we had to tell him that we had to order. Then he took 4 orders, went away and didn't come back. When we got him to come back after telling several other workers we needed to complete the order, he forgot that he had taken the first orders. He finally took a few more orders and went, again not to every person at the table. It took 2 hours in total and the food came out at all different times. We were all honestly very confused about what was happening throughout our dinner."

"My boyfriend and I took a day trip to NYC from NH, and we were looking for a place to eat for lunch after visiting some monuments. We noticed this across the street and decided to wing it on the spur of the moment. I must say, I am so glad we did! Although it was quite busy since it was lunch rush, I enjoyed my Cajun wrap. The service moved as quickly as they could and the food was spectacular! I look forward to any future visits to the city and will definitely return for more!"

"The service we received at this restaurant was very friendly and attentive. We chose to split the antipasti for one, which was simple with only cold cuts and two slices of provolone, but it lacked dressing. My companion ordered the lasagne, which was a good size and delicious, although he was informed that it was meatless when it wasn't. I decided on the Veal Marsala with mushrooms, which was tasty and had tender veal (something rare in most restaurants). The portions were generous and reasonably priced. Despite not being in my neighborhood, I would probably come back again."

"We came for my friend's birthday. It was extremely disappointing. The food was awful and overpriced. There was also a limited choice. The caesar salad was awful and full of yellow salads that made it bitter. I haven't been to the restaurant in years and it's clearly gone downhill. I spoke to a friend and he had the same opinion. Service was ok but slow. Actually the busboy forgot to give one of us water and when we asked for it, he argued with us and said he had given it. It was really a waste of Moey, but more importantly, ruined the birthday party."

"Anniversary dinner with our two children, 8 and 10. We decided to sit out on the porch on a fairly humid June evening and the ceiling fans made for a nice breeze. We find most restaurants to be overly air-conditioned, but Metro 8 didn't seem like a fridge even when we walked in - that's a huge plus for me! Our waitress was very nice and attentive without interfering. She noted that it was nice to see kids with books (and math in our conversation) instead of iPads. The steaks my husband and I ordered were as advertised and delicious. So were the pages. Our girls loved their grilled chicken. Cocktails were good and just the right strength. Highly recommended."

"This is a lovely old world Italian restaurant that reminds of another time. It was a snowy day and the restaurant wasn't crowded for lunch, but the food was great. The bread was fresh and delicious. The homemade minestrone was light and fragrant. The shrimp were excellent. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and our waiter brought a delicious dessert with a message in chocolate on his own initiative. We will come back in any case."

"My wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner. We had read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Kenzie was our server. We ordered the charcuterie board, brussel sprouts, shrimp risotto, orecchiette, white sausage pizza, kit Kat bars, and peach cake. Everything was delicious, fresh ingredients and each bite had us wanting more, the white sausage pizza was outstanding, the fire roasted peppers added a nice finish. "The pizza was delivered quickly and hot, and the crispy crust was a nice touch. While the sauce was bland, it didn’t detract from the overall experience. Unfortunately, the cheese was a complete disaster; it weighed the pizza down like the Titanic. Even after letting it sit for a bit, the greasy cheese fell right off when I tried to pick up a slice. It was literally that bad. It makes my usual go-to spot, Giardinis, which is just decent when I need something quick, seem like a four-star restaurant in comparison!"

On one occasion, we initially chose to dine outside but as the weather cooled down, the staff quickly accommodated our request to move indoors. They efficiently set up a cozy booth for us in the beautifully decorated dining room. We have a great appreciation for this restaurant, which may be hidden behind trees and not visible from Agoura Rd., but is worth seeking out for its inviting atmosphere and tasty meals."

"The owner of this pizzeria charges a 3.5% fee for credit card transactions without notifying customers beforehand. I find this to be dishonest, as it feels like he’s exploiting inflation. When I brought it up, he was arrogant and claimed that all restaurants do the same, which is simply not true. He even mocked me when I responded with "interesting." I’ve been a customer here for a while, and after reading the negative reviews, I have to agree with the criticisms.
