"Food is excellent. Service, however, was not. We waited a long time for someone to come over and at the end we were forgotten about. I will say our server was friendly and appeared she was between the two restaurants. No one appeared to be running everything. Overall disappointing, food saved it though. If I go back, takeout is the way to go."

"I had an exemplary experience here, i went here for my iftaar and got amazed of great service by Aazam, Diksha, Umara and Abrar. They had been polite and humble throughout the time. As well the buffet has different and savoury varieties each days like Mandi, Dudh Dulari, Gajar Halwa, Chicken Tikka etc which is absolutely delicious. This has become my go to restaurant now so I would highly recommend this to everyone."

"we tried to break from our usual habits / places and to search online a little for a new curry spot. we came over anmol and I'm glad we made it, we will definitely order again from them! their meat dishes number their veggie dishes, but there is a section dedicated to the menu for vegetarian curries and there are a few options in the appetizers and side as well. I'm not 100% safe, but I bet they could change the non-vegan vegetarian dishes to keep the milk. each curry is an essential part and comes with 4 options for seasoned, from mild to very spicy. we went with medium for both and it was a good amount to begin, next time I think we will try very sharp for one of them at least (we like warm.) we have the channa masala and the Daal-Channa and both were super delicious. the garlic naan was also quite good, not exactly the style of the naan I am used (a little denser,) but nevertheless good. they offer delivery that is super and what we did, it took a because, but sometimes that is the price they pay to not want to go to get it themselves. we're coming back!"

"Wow, just wow! Nawab was our favorite Pakistani Indian restaurant over 4 years ago when we worked in Yonkers; we have recently gone back to celebrate my husband's birthday and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We were there for lunch on Thursday and it was not crowded, and the atmosphere was very relaxing I enjoyed the music they played. We have the best place in the house on the big window. Our server was super nice and knowledgeable about the food, and she made us so welcome. The FOOD was even better than I remembered! We have Balti Chicken and Lamb Balti Gosht, plus Mango Lassi. Everything tasted delicious and fresh. The meat was so tender! We had such a great experience that I wish we had returned earlier! Thank you. Nawab, for the excellent meal and wonderful service!"

"Yes, we had our doubts upon entering the restaurant. Yes, we hesitated when we saw the pricing. And, yes, we thought twice about giving our order to a waiter reeking of body odor, but we proceeded. BAD MOVE! This was, without a doubt, the worst Indian food I've ever eaten, and I love Indian cuisine and have eaten it all over the world. The samosas were icebox cold in the center, informed the smelly waiter and he shrugged and left them on the table (and on the bill! Surely the Chicken Tikka Masala would be acceptable, but no. Bland and void of the richness one would expect from this common dish, though eatable, not enjoyable. The vegetable dish was no more than tomatoes, peppers, onions, and frozen peas, carrots and celery. YUCK. $100+!?!"

"Today we tried Sara's for the first time. This restaurant and their amazing authentic Indian/Pakistani selections changed my whole perspective to this cuisine. For starters we tried their Samosas and Chicken Pakoras. For knowing how to cook Samosas plus i have tried from other places and cuisines Sara's Samosa is the best so far!! Highly recommend it. Lentil soup that my husband ordered was definitely spicier than your typical Mediterranean lentil soup but it was delicious. For the entree we had; Boneless Chicken Curry , Butter Chicken and Chicken Briyani , all served hot and fresh . Very generous on portion size and perfectly cooked tender chicken in all 3 dishes. Naan and garlic Naan also came hot , fresh and generous amount of butter on top The owner of the restaurant helped us, he was friendly ,explained everything since we told him it's our first visit . He was very courteous. Prices are definitely fair when you get large and delicious portions."

"I really do enjoy eating here. the food is great and quality of the food is great too. I come here just for the buffet, you can't beat the price for halal food. But be sure to watch the customers as they unfortunately like to use their hands to pick up some food. Come eat and enjoy the fresh goods. (2020) So my original review that you can see up above was at a four star rating, that was a little over 2 years ago. It kind of breaks my heart that I have to come back and edit my review because I'm just not fond of this place anymore. This had always been my go-to Buffet. But lately, it hasn't. Now with the price inflation, it's $15 which I suppose still isn't too bad because you're getting halal food that's delicious and fresh. That being said, paying this amount of money for food; you'll be lucky if there's any fresh food that's put out while you're there. The food is delicious, it really is but unless it's a busy day, expect to eat whatever food is laid out and if it's cold, it's cold. If there isn't much of a selection to eat from, then you're just going to have to settle for what's there. I get that during slow hours you don't want to overcook but when you see new customers walk in and current customers that are already dining but waiting for fresh food... then you should make the effort to put out fresh food. Not only was I waiting for fresh food but another gentleman there kept getting up to check for fresh food but would then go sit back down when he didn't find any. (I think he may have been doing that to try and get their attention). Today, there was just rice and chicken and not much variety. No samosas, bread or another two dishes that they serve for the buffet. So this was kinda a big disappointment. I'll definitely consider revisiting but I don't know how soon I'll go back. I do believe that the gentleman that handles the restaurant is friendly and curtious. I just think he should either check on the amount of foods that's left or maybe ask customers if they need a refill on a particular dish. It may sound entitled that way but folks for the most part are either shy or don't want to be rude. As a restaurant employee and/or owner, it is your duty to make sure customers are enjoying their stay. One other thing that I'd also like to note is the gentleman that handles the restaurant up front tends to also handle some food. So respectfully, I think it would be a good idea if he wore gloves for those cases as he does tend to handle other various task at the restaurant. Thank you. Hope everyone will enjoy their trip here. "I ordered to go on Thursday night. I took the Chicken Pakora appetizer, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tandoori and Lamb Biryani for the family. I found the rice too high quality and very tasteful, like all the articles. There were complaints that the chicken was dry. The Chicken Pakora was my favorite I mixed with my Lamb Biryani. They gave me a ton of rice with the latter dish with hardly Lamb. Consequently, the Chicken Pakora proved to be part of my entrée. Supplement: The food gave me a little outrage late in the night. Not enough to justify Pepto Bismol, and I did not feel the urge to go to the bathroom or something; but, I find it worthy to notice because it disturbed my sleep and I can eat spicy food like the best of them, but I had not absorbed extreme heat into the food. I think it was just the regular combination of ethnic spices that stomach cannot be used to it. When I traveled the left for lunch, I experienced the same outrage, but it rejuvenated before the bed. So I would recommend if you are not used to this kind of kitchen, I would have it for lunch and see how it affects you."

"I was in search for a true Pakistan restaurant since years. There's one I found in NJ, but that is too far from my home. Spice and curry is close to my home. Mere 10 minutes of drive. This restaurant has restored my faith in desi food to the fullest. Almost anything I have tried from their menu turned out to be mouthwatering entree. FOOD 5/5: Their channa masala is on the top of the list. The aroma presented in channa is very hard to find elsewhere. Furthermore, for the brakfast, the omelet consists of thin layer, requiring intense attention in preparation. Lamb chops are out of this world. Ginger chicken is a must have, so is the Karahi chicken. Last, if you are not really a dessert person, BE NOW.... cause you CANNOT miss their kheer (rice pudding). ATMOSPHERE 4/5: Reasonable, relaxed, definitely welcoming. Bathroom could be bit cleaner. Don't let the grocery section deceive you. To me personally, food matters the most. Been to so many posh restaurants, spending hundreds, and walking out disappointed. PATRONS 5/5: Humble staff. Smiling faces. Patience on the phone. Not rushing to take orders. Would assist customers with consistent hospitality till the last minute before closing. PRICES 5/5: Unbelievable. I had to check my bill in first few visits to be assured that they included everything that I ordered. Compared to the quality of the meals, the prices are superb. I wouldn't mind paying extra if have to. Thus, this leave bigger room for the gratuity though. WOULD RETURN?: Absolutely. Most likely each time with newer friends to introduce. CHILDREN SEAT: Available. TAKE OUT: Available. DELIVERY: Available."

"We had a wonderful experience while visiting for a conference. The food was good and reasonably priced for this area. One of us had never had Indian food before and they modified the level of spice for her. The mango lassi was also amazing. Would recommend. The waitress was also extremely attentive and nice, making conversation and going out of her way to make this a pleasant experience."

"Customer service here is practically non-existent—I'm talking zero customer service. The staff takes orders and serves food like they're in a trance. If you speak to them in English, they give you strange looks or grab a rag and just stare at you until the one employee who can understand English comes over to take your order. I strongly advise you to double-check your order, as I've had it incorrect more than once. Instead of letting you know if an item is unavailable, they simply replace it without informing you. You’ll also encounter a staff member who just stands behind the counter, staring at you like a deer caught in headlights—he won't greet you or take your order, just looks at you blankly. "I love their lamb chops and Chicken Makhni (Butter Chicken). Both of these items are most likely the best in this Pakistani neighborhood. I've tried the Makhni from other restaurants and it doesn't even come close to this. I tried their chapli kebab and chicken corn soup today. I'll say they were ok. Nothing special. Service is also ok. Definitely order in or take out the lamb chops and chicken Makhni also called butter chicken."

"Rating this place 3.5 stars! I live close by and have always seen this place in passing but never gone in, and have heard great things about the food. I had my cousin visiting from out of state and he wanted to try some Indian food since he 's never experienced it. During this time, it was the winter storms, so we came during a rainy night so we don 't have to drive out far. Service here is like fast food, you go up to the cashier to place your order, grab your number and take a seat.. except the food doesn 't get delivered to your table, they yell out your number and you have to go back to the cashier to pick up your food. Water (in fridge), cups, and utensils are located on the other end of the restaurant. The menu is at the front of the cashiers. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, chicken tandoori, side of basamati rice, garlic naan, and onion naan. Everything was good and flavorful and my cousin enjoyed his first experience with Indian food. Our favorite was the chicken tikka masala cause we used it to flavor the rice more and dip our naans. The chicken tandoori had a good charred flavor to it but was a little dry. After I was done with my meal, I went to the ladies restroom which is located in the far back that looked like an alley way. I went to wash my hands and noticed a homeless man sleeping in one of the ladies stalls. I alerted the cashier and she told me sorry we can 't do anything about it cause it 's a public restroom uh then who can I report it to due to the safety of your female patrons? This knocked down half a star for me. I don 't recommend using the ladies restroom during the night time for safety reasons. Otherwise, great place and would come back again."

"I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by the Lasani restaurant. I placed an order on Uber Eats, only to have it cancelled by the restaurant. When I called the restaurant twice, the guy said that the food was cancelled by Uber Eats and asked me to contact them. When I contacted Uber Eats, they said that it was cancelled by the restaurant. When I contacted the restaurant again, the lady owner was extremely disrespectful and kept telling me that I had cancelled the order before putting the phone down. This is unacceptable behaviour and I am appalled by the service provided by the restaurant. Shame on them . I am gonna tell this to all so that we all can teach them lessson ."
