"I arrived at the restaurant, and the staff member informed me that there was a ladder to access the roof. I wasn't sure why we would need to go up there, but that was the explanation given. Then they mentioned that they were closed until dinner, even though the sign outside indicated they were open. I would recommend staying away from this place!"

"Taco John's is my #1 under the rated Fast Food Chain! The food is slightly years better than Taco Bell garbage. The aromas are fresher and resemble authentic Mexican foods. The location here in Creve Coeur is fast and very friendly. The children who work here seem to be proud of their work, which is refreshing in and by itself, let alone in the fast food community. This location is right on the road from me and I often go there, especially as their operating hours are crazy!! They always seem open. Long weekends are often ended with Taco John's... exactly what the doctor ordered! They are always happy and friendly and ready to have a laugh with me and never to accommodate my special wishes and always. And the price is very nice!! Thank you. Creve Coeur Taco John's! "In my recent visits, I've noticed that the Potato Oles have been stale. I didn't mention it until today, but after waiting about 20 minutes in the drive-thru for large stale Potato Oles, I decided to speak up. When I requested a refund, they gave me another cup of the same Oles and claimed they were fresh, but I could clearly tell they were the same stale ones. I pointed out that we can tell the difference between Oles that are 30 minutes old and truly fresh ones. Eventually, they refunded my money but did so with an attitude and without an apology. It's no surprise their dining area is usually empty. I used to work there, and it’s always been like this. It’s unfortunate that this is the experience customers have with Taco John’s."

"they took my order fast, but I waited almost 10 minutes for the 3 for $5 street tacos. I chose steak, but they also have a black and chicken option. I gave four more stars because I wasn't in a hurry and knew that my tacos were fresh, and they were. the only thing that she would have done better to my mind would be zilantro and a salsa verde. they have very hot green sauce, but I don't do very hot. I'll eat them again! the girl that took my money and gave me my food was super friendly and smiled all the time. I always appreciate that."

"I was initially hesitant to visit this location due to a negative experience at their Empire Mall branch. However, many people recommended the Huron site, and I’m so glad I decided to give it a try! I wasn't disappointed at all—a very friendly staff and a clean environment. I’m thrilled to have given Taco John’s a second chance; it was definitely worth it! The fish tacos were, without a doubt, my favorite, and the guacamole paired perfectly. The team here clearly puts in a lot of effort, and I will definitely keep coming back to this location!"

"We ordered beef tacos and chicken tacos. The menu advertised 2 tacos for $2.69, but it did not specify that the price was per taco. Although I could handle it, there was only a small amount of meat on the beef tacos, and the chicken tacos were hard and had a strange texture. It was clear that the food had been sitting out for a while and was not fresh. The workers seemed tired and unhappy, and the restaurant was not clean. When the trash was emptied, all the bags were taken out, making it difficult for customers to dispose of their own trash. I would not recommend this Taco John's location. The one in Sturgis is good, but I will not be returning to this one."

"The potatoes were neither crispy nor fresh, likely because they sat out too long. The quesadilla was crushed and soggy, possibly from being placed in a bag. "We stopped by this restaurant for a quick bite before our 6-hour drive home. It took a minute or so for our order to be taken, but that was due to how busy it was and not because of any issues with the staff, who were likely understaffed. Despite the busyness, our food came out fairly quickly and the service was not chaotic like many fast food restaurants. The staff was friendly and greeted us as soon as they noticed we were there. Overall, we have no complaints, but I personally believe that a fast food restaurant shouldn't receive a 5-star rating, so I give it 4 stars as the best it will ever get from me."

"When I got home, she told me the taco salad was the best she's had from there, and the potatoes were fantastic! I was pleasantly surprised, as I wasn't expecting it to be that good. Initially, when I walked in, I had my doubts, but the woman who helped me was very kind and attentive. She informed me of the total and then offered me a senior discount (which I gladly accepted at 68 years old), all while smiling. I also asked if she could add some extra spice to the potatoes, and she gave me a little container of it on the side. I couldn't resist; I just had to try them! This visit truly revived my faith in the restaurant. Great job, everyone, and please keep it up! If you find yourself nearby, definitely make a stop here."

"I’m not sure why it takes so long at this Waverly location. I waited for over 10 minutes, and by the time I left, it was 5:35. The taco meat tasted different from what I’ve always had at Taco John's—it's thicker than usual, and I personally didn't like it, though maybe others will. On top of that, I spent another 10 minutes in line after placing my order. There was no one ahead of me, and I can’t believe I was stuck in the drive-thru for 15 minutes overall. My food ended up being cold and just didn’t hit the spot. It’s frustrating because this slow service has been an issue for a while, but today was particularly unacceptable, especially with the change in food quality. I only ordered a six-pack and a pound, but it felt like a waste of time. "

"So I am addicted to potato oles but sometimes they're old or under seasoned but it's whatever. Anyways, everytime I go there the staff always somehow has an immaculate customer service voice I usually only do drive thru . They are almost uncomfortably chipper lol but that's fine. I'm usually always parked when I get fried chicken but that's okay because I know it's fresh : and I accommodate my time for that. BUT the only time I've ever been dissatisfied is when I ordered the apple grande thing. I said what the heck why not it's only 2 bucks and some change. I received it , opened it, saw the cheese and thought hey, maybe this is the vibe idk. IT WAS NOT THE VIBE. That thing is an ABOMINATION. whoever at corporate came up with that needs to face at least a slight consequence. The only positive thing I have to say about that trash of a contraption is at least they use real apples I found apple seeds in mine which is fine because apples have seeds. Overall I love taco John's I love the employees but do not buy that apple grande thing. Discostan."

"The staff at this location were all very rude, and they completely messed up my order. I used to come here regularly, but after this experience, I won't be returning. They really need to rethink their staff and make some changes. Since I work in fast food myself, I find this level of service unacceptable. "We came here and the service was absolute horrible Bobby C was rude when we ordered and then when we came to get our food at the window we let them know that we had two orders and Bobby came to the window shouting that the orders come as they are ordered, which we are very aware of and we’re simply letting her know that we had two separate orders so she knew the next one was also ours. Then, we didn’t receive our nacho cheese or the second half of our order that we had to sit and wait for while we heard the woman and Bobby complaining that we were just trying to get what we paid for. We were very calm and respectful despite the way they treated us. We will NOT be coming back and we will let all of our friends and family know the experience we had. DONT WORK IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY IF YOU CANT BE RESPECTFUL OF YOUR CUSTOMERS."
