"I used to be obsessed with Taqueria El Pollo but they've gone downhill HARD the last six months or so. The last couple of times I've ordered chile rellenos, they've been ice cold inside. They no longer have the delicious white queso but instead servethick, chunky white American cheese that's been melted. It's AWFUL. Their salsa verde used to be an absolute treat, but now itmust be a new recipe, as it's missing the lime and is quite vinegary. Almost tastes old/fermented. I keep hoping it'll getbetter, but tonight was the final straw as my meal was flat out BAD and almost completely inedible. Overall the quality justisn't there anymore and I cannot recommend anyone visit this restaurant."

"There were a few mistakes with the order—some items were incorrect, and the prices felt a bit high for what we received. Probably just first-world problems, though. One of our party ordered a mango margarita, but the server brought a completely different cocktail instead and explained later that they didn’t have the original drink. Instead, they offered a spicy cucumber jalapeño concoction without checking if that would be acceptable. It felt a bit odd, but we didn’t complain and the server did adjust the bill to remove the $11 cocktail. There were also some other mix-ups with our orders: wrong drinks and incorrect tortillas. Additionally, one member of our group needed a little more time to decide, but the server insisted that she could only take the order all at once, which caused her to feel rushed into making her choice. Unfortunately, she ended up ordering a chili relleno burrito, which was just okay, and she still didn’t get the mango margarita she wanted, leaving her feeling disappointed. Overall, the meal was good, but the overall experience left much to be desired. Nevertheless, we tipped the server as if we had received everything correctly—it's important to be kind to the staff! We’ll give it another shot and see how it goes next time."

"I stopped by to grab a quick bite and a drink on a Sunday night. I sat at the bar and waited to get served. It took a while to put in my order no biggie. I ordered 2 steak tacos and a margarita. The tacos were nice and big but no flavor, the margaritawas ok. Chips and dip was excellent. The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because when I requested for my bill Iwas told that that my bill was $30. I asked the gentleman why and he said I ordered 2 tacos And a drink. I was like of course Iordered that. I asked how much the tacos were he said $18 dollars. I asked him you want to tell me 2 tacos cost 18 dollars hesaid yes without flinching. ???? logically you'd think he'd be like that's weird. But noooo I guess common sense ain't common nomore. I have eaten in many great Mexican restaurants but never have I have paid $18 for 2 mediocre tacos. I was very applaudbut in my nature I did not want to argue so I asked for the receipt to pay my bill and this is where things changed. He becamevery hesitant and went to call the other waiter. With my little Spanish from my understanding they messed up. I was behind thecounter as I watched them scramble to fix it. A phone call was made blah blah blah ????. After 10 minutes the gentleman fixingthe error comes over apologized and offered to refund my money. I am not sure if it was an honest error or whatever it was. Iwas disappointed with the lack of honesty. I actually love the other Los Molcajetes Bar Grill off Montecito Blvd so Iexpected a similar experience. Unfortunately not I will not be coming back here."

"Went here last Thursday and the food was awful. Service was awful. And on top of that it was a $107 check. For food I didn 't even eat. I don 't see why there is so many positive reviews. This place is pricey I ordered two soupa de 7 mares each one was around $40. I ordered maybe like 3 sodas and still my total came out to $107. You would think that for that price you would be getting quality food but your not. It was the worst food I had ever eaten in my life. Like I said I didn 't even eat it since I knew from the start they both were not good. I asked for something to be done and the workers just said I had to pay for something I didn 't even eat. Just a big waste of time. (Just checked their website looks like they also overcharged us. Each soupa de 7 mares goes for $28)"

"I had a Chile relleno plate at this restaurant before and enjoyed it, so I decided to return with my in-laws. However, this past weekend I ordered a Chile relleno burrito and was surprised to find that it contained chile pieces instead of a whole chile, and I couldn't taste any cheese. Despite my dissatisfaction, the server insisted that there was cheese in the dish. Frustrated, I gave up on the discussion and ordered a carne asada burrito instead. Although I was a little annoyed because everyone else had finished eating, I took my burrito to go. Despite this incident, the service at the restaurant is excellent and the food is very tasty!"

"Clean and reasonably priced but overall disappointing. Regular Burrito is $5.99 and decent size but not wrapped well. As soon as the foil came off, it immediately unravelled. Al Pastor seemed burnt to me which made the whole Burrito dry but that could just be their style. But the real disappointment was the Micheladas. $5.59 which seems reasonable but who serves a half full Michaela glass. Most other restaurants in the area are full glass with comparable sized for similar price. Mon Wed $5 burrito 99¢ off, Tues Thurs $1.25 Tacos $1 off ."

"super steak burrito. It was great. The only problem I have is the male staff have been racist towards me and my family. I have came to this burrito truck on several occasion. I always ask for grilled peppers on the side. I haven't been getting them. They keep telling me they don't have the them but give to the hispanic customers in my face. This has been happening since the lady who worked cashier left. My brother also experienced the same thing and like before they gave hispanic customers the peppers and told him he could not have any. I tried to give them the benefit of doubt but they keep doing it. So I will take my 250.00 That I spend every month on burritos some where else. There is a burrito truck that treats black people with respect on Thornton ave."

"I was quite disappointed with the food we picked up. Everything was cold, and the wet burrito was particularly unappetizing; the sauce tasted like plain Ragu spaghetti sauce with no seasoning. The tacos were also a letdown, falling apart and lacking flavor. As for the enchiladas, they had no sauce—just an assortment of salad ingredients. If we wanted flautas, we would have ordered those instead. Honestly, those weren't enchiladas at all. The chips and salsa were decent, but overall, it was a disappointing experience."

"It’s my first time to eat here ! Oh my gosh you know what , I can’t believe what I’m going to say but this taco truck is so bad ! , I order 5tacos and plus rice , my husband 5tacos and my son 5 tacos, and I know if you buy 5 tacos you get free soda , but the food here is no good , when I have my rice ! It’s no longer a rice ! They give us a rotten rice meaning the rice is not good to eat it has a bad smell and it’s not fresh ! Just to let you know guys !. And the tacos that They have is no flavor and not fresh at all , I’m glad that my son didn’t have stomachache after he eat this taco , but I did ! I had an upset stomach!. And you know what? Do not buy rice here ever ! Or burrito ! Because you can get sick ! "I would not recommend this taco truck as it has significant room for improvement in both management and food quality. They advertise grilled serranos on their menu but don't actually have any available. The burritos were rolled so sloppily that they fell apart. The cashier seemed unable to communicate effectively with customers. The salsa condiment area was unclean and had dry limes. The asada burrito contained too many fatty pieces, and the salsas were disappointing. I definitely won't be returning to this disorganized taco truck."
