"Upon being seated, we were greeted with warm, crispy chips and salsa. The chips were delightful! The salsa was satisfactory, though it could have used more spice and had a strong garlic aftertaste. Nonetheless, this was not a significant issue, especially considering that we're dealing with hotel cuisine. We decided to order the chicken and beef fajitas for two. As lifelong Texans who have tasted many fajitas, I must say these were among the best we've ever had! They were incredibly tender, warm, and perfectly seasoned. Our only minor complaint was that the corn tortillas were a bit on the tough side, whereas the flour tortillas were soft and flavorful. The portions were generous, and the presentation made it easy to share the fajita meat while each enjoying our own sides. We also ordered a sangria and a margarita, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed! The bartender kindly notified our waiter that my initial drink choice might not have been ideal and suggested an alternative that ended up being perfect! Both drinks had a great amount of alcohol and were absolutely delicious. However, the highlight of the evening was our waiter, Isaiah. He found the perfect balance of attentive service without being intrusive, allowing us to savor our conversation. His honest and insightful recommendations truly matched our preferences. We couldn't have asked for a better anniversary dinner! Everything was simply perfect and delicious! If you find yourself at Kalahari looking for dining options, make sure to visit Cinco Ninos and ask for Isaiah!"

"To make matters worse, our server didn’t give us even five minutes to settle in before repeatedly asking if we were ready to order. After he approached us for the third time in under ten minutes, we felt rushed and decided to place our order even though we hadn’t fully decided yet. Instead of being helpful, he just stood there staring at us while we tried to make up our minds. His impatience was frustrating, especially since I work in the service industry myself, and there was no need for that attitude, particularly with the restaurant not being busy. I ordered the mahi tacos, which were bland, while my partner had the beef cheese dip, which was also tasteless and overly greasy. We spent $39 on our meals and two drinks, and when it came time to pay, we tried to split the bill: $20 in cash and the rest on a card. The waiter took the card and left without acknowledging the cash. My partner had to chase him down to hand him the $20 and explain how we wanted to split the payment. Instead of doing that, the waiter kept the cash as a tip and charged the entire meal to the card. We weren’t tipping him; his service was far from acceptable, and we didn’t even receive any water while we figured out our order. Understandably frustrated, we had to ask him to process the payment correctly and refund us for the mishap. And just to clarify, there was no language barrier—my partner is fluent in Spanish, and the waiter spoke it perfectly. He was fully aware of what he was doing and had a dismissive attitude when we requested a corrected transaction. The overall experience was incredibly rude, with zero customer service. My partner is still waiting for a $60 refund. I would not recommend this restaurant for inauthentic Mexican food or their questionable billing practices."
